“Mixed feelings”

Essentially this is 2 reviews in one. I stayed at this hotel on Oct. 24th and it was wonderful. The person that checked me in was friendly and fun, the rooms are beautiful and it is conveniently located right off of the highway. My only complaint that night was that the walls are very thin and you can hear everything that goes on in the rooms next to you as well as in the hallway. The second time during the same trip was a different story. It was on Oct. 29th. The front desk person was less than friendly. While I walked in with my luggage, bag on my shoulder and my purse in hand, she was staring at the computer and said "can i help you with something?". Well, I would think a room would be in order! Anyway, the room was the same, but the next morning, I woke up to lukewarm shower water. I called the front desk and was met with, "I guess it might be because it's cold outside". Not a good start to the morning. Backing up a little, and also in reference to the paper thin walls, a couple was in the room next to me and of course I heard everything that went on in there. When I went to my car in the morning, there were all of 9 cars in the parking lot (and I left very early). If there were that few people in the hotel, would it be too much to ask to stagger the rooms, even a little. As a side not, the hotel chain has very good cookies, but the second stay, there were none. Another negative with the staff on that night.
