No frills hotel with clean rooms and bathrooms. Convenient to shopping and 10 minutes from historic district. Extremely friendly and attentive staff.

Perfectly Acceptable Property
I was in Evora to do some field investigations and did not wish to stay in the city, so the location of Casa do Vale was fine. The pool area is lovely and the pool sparkling clean, just like in the photo but even prettier. All of the staff are polite and helpful and go the extra bit to make guests happy, one of the really nice things about Portuguese hotels in general. The included buffet breakfast was ok but not outstanding. There are several choices, however.

Great experience overall.
The staff was excellent. They attended to all our needs. Breakfast was tasty and there was a good variety of food to choose from. The only complaint was the mattress felt uncomfortable. Desk staff let us know that renovations are happening at the hotel.

Nice hotel on outskirts of Evora, unfortunately our ground floor room overlooked the staff car park & cleaner delivery area.

Needs maintenance. Our room had peeling paint and buckled floor obvious water damage. Bad smell. Breakfast was not free, no restaurant. No elevator...had to trudge luggage upstairs. Power went out on the day we left.

Nice hotel with a shuttle to the beach
The hotel is super nice and worth 5 stars. Excellent food, quiet location, great amenities. Spent only 1 night during travel, but if I ever return to Algarve for a beach vacation, this is my choice.

Reasonable Option
This small hotel is well outside the old town. A car is definitely recommended, if you stay here. It definitely has its good points. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. It is reasonably priced, has a hearty breakfast buffet, and a kickin' pool. The small patio was a nice surprise too. The rooms could use some touch-ups, to make this hotel an even better option.

Reasonably Priced, But Requires Upgrades
Easy to find hotel about 6km from the old walled city. You need a car, to stay here. The pool and breakfast were excellent, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The Patio with chairs was a nice touch. Our room, though, was in need of some attention. Mold on the bathroom grout and water stains at the base of the wooden doors were a turn-off. Also, we awoke one morning to water coming out of our ceiling air conditioner, which explains the water marks.

The hotel is very low level. The rooms are smelly. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Probably the worst pillows I saw in my entire life. But the location is convenient and the stuff in reception was very nice.

Great, helpful hotel.
Staff were wonderful. On extremely short notice they helped us set up a tour of the cave which we could never have figured out on our own. So sorry we were only there for one night.

Comfort in a hot city
The hotel was just on the outskirts of city so was not walkable to sight see the city. The staff were helpful but the room lacked some basics like glasses face cloths. Over all we found it comfortable and convenient to the grocery store next door.

Lovely out of town hotel
Lovely place to stay on the outskirts of evora. Friendly reception staff. Nice clean spacious rooms. We had 116- massive balcony with view of the surrounding area - shame it didn't have sun loungers. Buffet in the restaurant very good and excellent value for money. Pool not heated so it was a tad cool to try in sept - but looked great and as per the rest of the place, very clean.

Pleasant experience!
The hotel was great, we arrived late due to delay in flight but the reception was 24hour. The breakfast was good, very friendly staff, hotel and room in good condition. Easy to park, close to Evora by car. If you have a car, that is a very good option, also the price is very good!

Okay for overnight stay. Room smells and has ants
We stayed only one night. The hotel is an okay stop over on your way to Gibraltar. Our room smelled badly of sewage and the floors were covered in ants; they even got on our clothes. The staff were curteous, and we were able to park our motorcycles right outside the hotel.

Economy Hotel clean small rooms, no bar fridge however they did put our wine and cheese in the fridge in the restaurant . Service was good , try to get a room in the back to avoid the traffic noise

Very quiet but close to town
About 2 min by car from the walls of the town, and just next to Pingo doce, it was convenient and very quiet at night. It was very basic, and clean, but somewhat cold, even with the heater on. Beginning to look a bit run down, with mold spots on the ceiling corners. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Next door to a supermarket. 2 min drive to walled town free parking zone or ten minute walk. Very friendly staff who spoke perfect English. Clean modern rooms although air con didn't work very well on 40 degree day. Overall very good.

This hotel was very comfortable; and, although a bit distant from Evora, was convenient by automobile. Our room was very nice, and the hotel dinner buffet was good. We would stay here again, without a doubt.

Perfect hotel if you have a car
Beautiful hotel and super friendly staff! It's not often you get service with a smile these days, but it's refreshing to see it still exist here. The front desk staff was very knowledgable, informative, and warm. Add free Wifi, clean comfortable rooms and bed to the mix and you have here a solid 3 1/2 star hotel. The location of this hotel was in a quiet area that is just 5 mins by car from Evora city center, therefore it's fine if you have a car. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was on par with other 3 or 4 star hotels that actually charge. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great stay, great staff
We stayed one night at this hotel and we were really surprised. The room was good, the staff very friendly and helpful and the location very close to the city centre, although there's nothing around to see as it is located in a main road. The swimming pool is good. We did really enjoyed our stay.
