Good quality but could do better with imaginationPosted Aug 15, 2014
Excellent grounds, fabric and pool. Greeting and support from Ricardo at reception was exceptional. Good breakfast and service at breakfast. Poor publicity about restaurant and so few people use it. Bar facilities poor for this class of hotel. Although we enjoyed our stay it's not really good enough for a Luxury Collection

A big mistakePosted Apr 22, 2014
Bad administration. Front desk pure caos. Expensive, pretencious. Just a big hotel, with good rooms and nothing more. A Historic place, better to visit than to stay. If you want visit Évora choose another hotel downtown.

Extraordinary HotelPosted Dec 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel and service was perfect except for one very minor issue. The WIFI connection was hit and miss according to the what room one was allocated. The meal at the restaurant was one of the best we have had in Portugal.

Excellent HotelPosted Dec 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel exceeded my expectations. The building itself is amazing, the staff is friendly & exceedingly helpful. The rooms are comfortable (we stayed in the modern part) and clean. For the price this is absolutely the best place to stay in Evora.

Exceptional ambiencePosted Aug 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a gorgeous hotel, beautifully inserted in an ancient monastery with great taste in furnishing and appointments. Rooms very comfortable, breakfasr excellent, service courteous. It is situated outside the center and therefore requires a car. Evora is an interesting city. Beware! It is known as one of the hottest places in Portugal. It lived up to this reputation. Hotel has two much needed swimming pools, one indoor, one out.

Nice Hotel, obsequious staffPosted Aug 19, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness.
Cons: Staff training.
Location: It is located outside of Evora in the Alentejo area of Portugal. Unfortunately, it is a little too far from town to take advantage of the restaurants.
The hotel is lovely. It is in an old convent that has been converted into a luxurious hotel and spa. However, in their quest to fulfill your every whim, the staff is obsequious and obnoxious.
