“Satisfied with the stay”
I had a comfortable stay at the Extended Stay America, Malvern PA. No complaints. However, it would help if they could post signage outside to indicate the Entry/Exit from the road clearly. I drove past it twice without knowing where to enter the property.
“Great self catering room - able to eat those HUGE doggy bags in comfort”
Good room facilities and location. Smell of smoke in corridor all the time. Non smoking room also smelled a bit of smoke too - went after using a deodoriser
“If only it was cleaner it would be great...”
The price was the best in the area. The room setup (kitchen) is a definite plus. Minuses: there was only one luggage cart and it had disappeared when we arrived, so we could not use it. The hotel overall was not particularly well kept. But the worst part was that the room upon arrival was not very clean: there were hairs in the bathroom and nail clippings on the desk. But would use it again to save the money.
“Very basic”
A little more stripped down than I expected. It's pretty hard to find a grocery story nearby. Not bad, but very, very basic.
“Malvern Hotel”
The hotel was very convenient for me because I was taking a class about 1.5 miles away. I was only in the room at night. I would have liked the hotel much better if it wasn't so noisy. I did call the front desk the last night to complain because I had to get up really early the next morning to catch my flight but I'm not sure the front desk did anything because the noise continued all night long.
“Good Value”
I was upset about the prices other hotels charged. This was a good value.
“Pretty gross”
If you can afford an additional $10-$20 a night, I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. You get what you pay for so I wasn't all that taken back by the hard bed, abrupt staff, frowsy smelling room or hallways filled with various scents of each occupants cooking. However, where I drew the line was the cleanliness of the room. My first night there, I killed 4 very large bugs in the room. They looked like large roaches but they had wings and flew. It was pretty gross, Not only did I have to deal with the bugs there, where I got home I had a few stowaways in my luggage and now have to fumigate my home. The sheets were dingy, the pillow and mattress under their covers were very dirty. 2 stars is a very generous rating given how dirty the place is
“Worst Hotel we stayed in on this trip”
The refrigerator was so noisy, we had to turn it off to get any sleep. That meant the ice we needed for the ice chest in the morning was melted. The bathmat was dirty and had not been replaced with a clean one. No cart to transport luggage. I had to carry it all the way to the room. My wife has instructed me never to book a ESA facility again, if I expect her to go with me. General maintenance of the facility, inside and outside the room, was not good.
“Okay if on a budget”
The hotel wasn't horrible, but it wasn't great either. Our air conditioner leaked and the bed was uncomfortable (very flat pillows) but overall it wasn't a total dive. There was a spill in the entrance that wasn't cleaned up and so it attracted ants. If the only thing you're doing is using it for a place to sleep while you explore the area, and you don't want to spend too much, it is perfectly fine for that. Getting into it is difficult due to the one way road but it was close to a super WaWa so you can't argue with that.
“Awful room”
The room smelled like stale smoke. I called the front desk, and they said that I was on a non-smoking floor, but the room smelled terrible. In addition, the faucet didn't work, the TV was primitive (1980 vintage), and the bed was not comfortable. All in all, the worst hotel I have stayed at in years.
