Faunbrook

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: Everything. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean. Lori is a very nice person and made us feel very welcome.
Cons: Not a thing
Location: We only stayed for the night. The downtown looks like there are plenty of antique stores and eateries.
What a beautiful building. Very nicely appointed, not loaded with unnecessary decorations, allows the beauty of the home to shine through. Lori is an experienced owner and provides all the necessities for a pleasant stay. She provided a delicious breakfast catered to our dietary restrictions. The room was gorgeous. They all are. The spaces are clean. The bedrooms are big and the bathrooms are clean and up to date. We were there for a night, but we will definitely stay there whenever we pass through again.

Spectacular B&B

Posted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: The public rooms were beautifully appointed and the bedroom was large and comfortable. The gas fires in the public rooms added to the atmosphere.
Cons: The temperature in the guest room was fine, but in the public rooms it was a bit chilly.
Location: We drove about ten minutes to Dillworthtown Inn for a delicious dinner. Highly recommended.
I took my wife to this romantic B&B for her birthday. It was a well received gift. The inn is located in the beautiful Brandywine Valley and was especially beautiful in the snow. We stayed in the third floor Edith's Room, with a bathroom large enough to be a living room. Gorgeous.

Magical experience at Faunbrook & Brandywine Valle

This B&B has so much joy to offer. The hosts are welcoming & focused on making your stay memorable-including the awesome breakfasts Lori serves up! The Federal Italianate home is glorious and takes you away to another time of fine architectural detail and grandeur. Located mins from West Chester, a charming historical town it also provides an excellent base for Winterthur & Brandywine River Museum.

Old B&Bs

Posted Jun 11, 2014
Pros: Staff, food, bed and dog, tour and history of the house.
Cons: Have ice available, have some small bottles of body lotion, have a way to contact staff to ask for things.
Location: it was a business trip so did not have time to play.
While I do love B&Bs, I am used to them having the modern conveniences. This is an old house and it looks and feels old. The staff was just wonderful, the bed was sooo comfortable, and the food was very good. They had free wine and that was an unexpected treat. There was air conditioning but we had to ask them to turn it up and we were lucky that one of the staff was walking through the living room when we were there and so was able to get it turned up. (It was extremely humid when we were there.) I also asked for ice at that time and it really made a difference to my drink. I was expecting the usual hair shampoo and conditioner AND body lotion and so did not pack any. There was no body lotion. .

My first Bed and Breakfast Experience

Posted May 13, 2014 on Hotels
I have always wanted to stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I finally got the opportunity by way of Hotels.com. Spring in PA is breathtaking, We went to PA for our son's Graduation from West Chester University and had a wonderful time. Meeting other guests at breakfast was delightful. The food was amazing especially since we were there on Mother's Day! What a wonderful B&B!

I live right by this place, but I felt miles away. It's like a time capsule.

Perfect place for couples getaway

This bed and breakfast fulfilled all our expectations and more. The inn keepers are extremely nice and helpful. We enjoyed a home cooked breakfast the morning of our departure and cozy time sitting by the fireplace the night before. We stayed in The Elizabeth room, a cute room with decor (as well as the rest of the house) that transported us back to the 1800's. As big as the house was, it was all well maintained and very clean. Definitely worth the stay!

A treasure

I love a good B&B with charm and good food. I got sick and missed this trip but my husband went anyway because he was attending an out of town thanksgiving dinner. He loved it and said the food was excellent . The owner called me the day before to make sure I had her cell number and knew how to get in as she would be away in the afternoon. She was so nice!
