Close to airport

Hotel very close to airport but a bit far from downtown. However, there is a bus stop at the parking lot for transportation around Fairbanks.

Location location

Pros: Right next to the airport. You can turn in your rental car and walk back to the hotel. Not a bad restaurant. Not great.
Cons: Aging and broken furnishings. Our bedside table lamp was inoperable. Lounge chairs are worn and soiled.
Brief. This is a hotel for one night only stays. They want me to write more about thus for some stupid administrative reason, but there's nothing more to say.

transition point

Posted Mar 2, 2014
We spent three nonconsecutive nights here transitioning from the nearby airport to Chena Hot Springs and Northern Alaska Adventures. Most of the staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome. The room was clean and comfortable. The artifacts in the halls and lobby were interesting. Free computer and printer in lobby. We heard the restaurant was good, but we did not eat there. They gave us free transportation to and from the airport and gladly called a cab when we needed one. The free breakfast is nothing special: powdered eggs, watery coffee, sugary cereal, yogurt, and generic mass produced baked goods. My husband liked the waffles. I would recommend this hotel not as a destination but as a nice place to spend the night.

clean, convenient, helpful

Needed a place near the airport. This place is a few minutes away. The staff was helpful with arranging complimentary transport to/from airport. They also have great info regarding Fairbanks sights and info. Clean rooms. Nothing fancy, but comfy and quiet. Good breakfast. Good value for the price.

Dry and stuffy

Posted Feb 25, 2014
The hotel was making some renonvations I think as all the baseboard on each floor was tore up. My room was dry anecstuffy and had a weird odor to it. We checked in at 4:30 in the afternoon andcthe staff had to check to see if the room was even ready yet. The staff acted like we were inconvenincing them upon our arrival.

Flew into fairbanks and stayed here one night. For the price you can't beat it. Right by the airport and in my experiance it was nice and the room weas clean and fairly big. For less than 80 bucks ya can't really beat it.

Middle of the night activities-little rest

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Clean room, close to airport, soap-shampoo supplied, free taxi to/from airport, friendly staff, free continental breakfast
Cons: Sound control
Location: Close to airport <5 minuites
This hotel would have been given better marks except that I was awakened at 2:30 in the morning by repeated door closings outside my window. I thought that they must have single pane windows, it was that loud. This went on for about 30 minuites and after that, it was noise in the hall from people talking or moving items down the hall. I will try this place again and update my experience and hope you have a better one than mine.

Nice staff, great value

Cons: A few more options on the breakfast would be nice.
Location: Easy access to the airport and not too far to drive into town.
Staff is extremely helpful. Northern lights wake up call option is fun.

Highly recommend

Pros: Proximity to everything and cleanliness
Cons: Dining options
Very good option, close to airport, university, nearby restuarant and shopping and highways. Stay was comfortable and the room was clean. Spent 3 nights. Plenty of charging stations for cars in winter. Diner on site, however open only for 4 nights.
