Too expensive for the level of service

Posted Aug 21, 2014
CHeck in late and the night staff was very rude, I had prepaid that is the only reason why I stayed. Hotel is OK, clean but not worth the cost. Mornig staff was nicer and apologized for the night staff behavior. Rooms are a bit noisy and poor isolation near an airport means that when flights start...

Meh - not great

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Beds, TV reception, sound-proofing
Location: Close to airport
Hotel was clean and nice looking, but the bed felt like I was sleeping on plywood. To make it worse, they put me in a room right next to their boiler or water heater that went off every hour and was VERY loud. A terrible night's sleep was made even worse. TV did not come in clear either...wouldn't recommend this place unless you're on a strict budget.

Should've been better, but could've been worse

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: One of the few to offer an a refrigerator, microwave, iron, and ironing board in the room at this price point in Fairbanks.
Cons: Housekeeping
Location: The hotel is conveniently located a mile and a half from gas, food, and shopping.
Nice looking facility and pleasing decor, but falls short in substance. The room size and comfort was average for the type selected. The room looked clean, but things like finding long dark hairs on the duvet, bathroom floor, and hanging from the hair dryer left some concern--not to mention a night gown hanging on the bathroom door from a previous guest. Sounds from neighboring rooms wasn't too bad, but you could hear everything from the hallway and in the hallway. The room had a large CRT television which made it difficult to tun to watch from other part of the room. Also, the offered a breakfast, but it cost $6.

Helpful staff

We booked two nights as a quick stop on our 2 week visit to Alaska. The breakfast was not included but was very reasonable by Alaskan standards. The staff gave us some suggestions on things to see which were very helpful.

Pros: close to work and food
Cons: lighting
nothing spectacular, the lighting in the room I found sub par and the cleanliness is the same as you would find at any other hotel

We have stayed here several times when we have flown in. Its close to the airport but is still quite. Nice and clean. The only thing is you have to pay for your breakfast.
