Not the best....Posted Jan 15, 2012
It really bothered us when there were empty liquor bottles in the hall in the morning.

Clean, courteous, and convenient in FairbanksPosted Jul 28, 2011
We have visited Fairbanks numerous times in the past 15 years and this is our new favorite. It was clean , quiet, well maintained. The staff was courteous, the decor tasteful and the the breakfast offered a good variety. The internet was a tad slow, but it was free and was no problem to connect. Its walking distance to Fred Meyer and if you don't mind a little exercise, UAF and various books stores and coffee shops are accessible.

Convenient location but not a resortPosted May 24, 2011
This hotel was conveniently located, easy to find and clean. It is not actually a "lodge" or in a resort-type setting. The river runs (somewhat) behind the hotel, but it's not as though you look out over it, nor is the property resort-like. Lots of the usual amenities in the neighborhood, groceries, fast food, etc. Good central location for travelers, but if you're looking for a relaxing resort-like location, this probably isn't it.

Excellent AccommodationsPosted Sep 22, 2010
Best Western Chena River Lodge was wonderful from the moment we checked in. The representatitives at the front desk were very nice and everyone was friendly and helpful. My husband enjoyed the breakfasts every morning. I chose to sleep in most mornings. The hotel allowed us to leave our luggage so we could take a weekend trip. I would highly recommend to anyone.

A great place to stay at a competitive ratePosted Sep 9, 2010
Chena River is one of the best Best Western's I have had an opportunity to stay at. Definitely would stay again when I'm in Fairbanks. Comfy beds, clean, new when I was there in 2010, and a good breakfast buffet. Was on e of the best hotels we stayed at in Alaska. The location was also excellent. I just can't wait to go back.
