“I would love to go back”

Hotel was very nice, comfy and convenient to airport. We were not with a large travel group or cruise group but manage to have great time. Laundry was very convenient for us, we were driving all over Alaska for 2 weeks. Had a view of the river and it was nice to open window and listen.

“Need a little more help”

Fairbanks Princess Hotel remains a good place to stay, but housekeeping in the hallways needs a little help. We checked in on a Friday afternoon, and the hallway wasn't vacuumed until late Saturday(bits of trash on carpet). We would stay there again.

“Our stay in Fairbanks”

The hotel is located on the Chena river in Fairbanks next to Pike's Landing (great place to eat). I was disappointed to discover that there was no coffee in the room - I stay at a lot of hotels MUCH less expensive than this that offer free in-room coffee. Also, no air conditioning. It would have been nice to get a room overlookiong the river, but I guess the Princess tour guests get first dibs..... It was an ok place to stay - however, I think it is overpriced!

“Try and get a river view room. We couldn't. which was a disappointment.”

It's a large attractive hotel with many rooms. It is mainly used by the bus, train large groups that Princess Cruise offers in Alaska. The buffet breakfast was overpriced and not great. But good coffee and snacks in the gift shop. I missed not having a coffee maker in the room.

“a/c unit not working”

The a/c unit in the room was not working so the air warmed up and became so dry and stuffy during the night. Other than that the hotel is pretty decent, along with great view from the room and friendly staffs.

“Snazzy on the river stay, but watch out for those extra charges and scary graveyard shift staff...”

Beautiful location on the river with nice rooms and friendly daytime staff. No internet access in rooms is a down side. Needed some minor toiletry items, asked front desk and was surprised to see charges for each at check out -- usually freebies at most nicer hotels -- was not informed when given. Bought two shirts in gift shop, was promised they would be shipped for just the cost of postage but was surprised to see big handling charge added on later after I left (sneaky). Night-time security guy looked kinda creepy.
