The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The purpose of our visit to Fairbanks was to see the Northern Lights and the staff provided great information to ensure that we saw the Northern Lights.

Wonderful hotel and staffPosted Apr 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
I just want to thank the folks at the Hampton Inn & Suites for their understanding and kindness during our stay. The front desk personnel are warm and friendly and that made a huge difference for our stay. As we were there to see the northern lights, the location of the hotel was ideal. It is close to the roads that lead to areas outside of Fairbanks where the lights can be best viewed. There is a shopping center with a Walmart, Barnes and Noble, a fast food restaurant (Carl's Jr.), and a Home Depot across the street from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who plan to travel to Fairbanks in hopes of seeing the northern lights.

There on businessPosted Apr 3, 2013
Pros: Dog mushing park
Cons: Close to the elevator and no upgrade offered for diamond member. Not even free water!!
Location: Close to freeways and downtown
Front desk staff offered good ideas of where to eat including silver gulch out in Fox. There were very enthusiastic girl's hockey team there so I'm sure much noisier than usual. For out of state travelers a page telling why you plug in a car and under what conditions this should occur would be helpful.

Housekeeping needs workPosted Mar 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
During my five day stay, my room was only cleaned once and that was minimal at best. No new towels, soap, shampoo, etc. That one time happened at 5:30 in the evening after I had already come back to the room. One other night they knocked on my door at 7:45pm and I told them it was too late. Since they didn't have time to clean my room, you would think they could have emptied the trash in the can by the elevator, but trash stayed overflowing from this can most of the day and didn't get emptied until the morning. How many times did the housekeeping crew walk past this trash can? It really didn't give a great image to walk out of the elevator to see this overflowing trash can. Housekeeping matters. I don't want a clean hotel, I expect a clean hotel for my stay. Too bad they didn't care.

Very nicePosted Mar 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very nice, clean hotel. The rooms are big and the sheets and pillows comfortable. The pool and hot tub are what bring us to this hotel. Conveniently located. Breakfast had omelettes, bacon, waffeles, fruit, cereal biscuits etc...

Great for a family with kids!Posted Mar 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great location, staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were welcoming and cozy. They did need another service person during breakfast. I felt bad for the one girl who was working by herself. She handled it well though. People were still able to eat and enjoy their breakfast. Will be be back again!

fine hotel, nice pool, a little too crowded at times in the pool and they ran out of hot breakfast every morning.
