Housekeeping tried to enter 20 minutes before checkout time, than we received a phone call from the front desk at 11:59 am one minute to checkout time letting us know we needed to checkout. We brought our things to our vehicle before checking out and tried to reenter the hotel throught the backdoor but our card had been shut off. What if I forgot things in my room as I walked out? What a pain. When I checked out, at 12:07 pm, I complained to the gal, Bridgette, at the front desk only to have her answer the phone while I was talking and did not ask the line to hold, she began to make a reservation. Extremely rude, poor service. Also, expedia said they have tubs in their rooms. They do not have tubs at all! Only a pool.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff always willing to help with tourist and local information. Good location for independent travellers (with a large shopping centre across the road - walmart, restaurants etc). Gym and pool very good. Hearty breakfast. Free shuttle to rail/airport. Clean, well maintained and quiet. We would definately stay here again and would highly recommend to others. Thank you to all the staff who looked after us!

This was a good base for a stay in Fairbanks, and with a couple of clear days, we could see Denali in all its snowy glory. The hotel is clean and attractive and the staff friendly. However, be aware that Hampton have a policy of not allowing staff to make up the beds if there is any personal item on them. This includes nightwear neatly folded under the pillows. Not something we have ever met anywhere in the world before, we found out the hard way after a long day trip to Barrow, getting back after midnight to find unmade beds. We had no warning of this. I would avoid staying in a Hampton again for this reason.

This was a comfortable place to stay, easy to access for a visitor to Fairbanks. The room was spacious and pleasant. However, we were astonished to find out the hard way about Hampton Inn's policy for bed making. It has always been our habit to fold nightwear neatly and place under the pillow. On returning to the hotel after midnight following a strenuous day trip to the north coast, we found the beds unmade. On enquiring the next day, we were told that if there was any personal item on the bed, it would not be touched. Apparently someone had complained, and this is now the chain's policy. Consequently, it is unlikely we shall book with them again. We have never met this anywhere else in the world, including the US, and were quite astonished.

I greatly enjoyed staying at America's (or world's?) northernmost Hampton Inn! The staff was friendly, and the rooms were comfortable (stayed in two separate rooms - a king room and a double room - due to schedule changes in the travel group). The king room was a little strange because the bed faced the window, but maybe that's just me. It definitely wouldn't stop me from staying there again. The hotel was clean and I would gladly recommend it to others. Shopping and restaurants are convenient too.

1. No shuttle service to town centre 2. Very poor breakfast choices as well as no alacarte menu 3. Not a fan of plastic throwaway cups and plates and plastic cutlery 4.no tea bags / service available in rooms / no milk for coffee which was supplied 5. Cardboard cups in e suite bathroom 6. Hotel on net gives uptown appearance/ it's way off and noisy surroundings so close to Main road.... 7. And one has to pay for Tv And this comes under the "Hilton" umbrella
