Not for families with kids

Location: Location was very nice, away in it's own corner. Very quit and relatively close to multiple shops.
Breakfast was horrible, the room was not clean at all, no sign of upkeep very dusty. There was holes on the bathroom door, carpet stains, very old and small tv. I did however like the staff there very kind they did warned us about the condition of the rooms and that they are in the middle of remodeling the place. Not reccomanding it unless you really have no other choices like I found myself in. Everywhere was booked up for the duration of stay I requested which is normal during summer time in Fairbanks.

Lock your valuables

Pros: Close to University
iPad was taken while I stayed there. Manager wouldn't even answer her phone or reply to e-mails when I tried to contact her.

Don't fall for the cheap rates
Posted Jan 29, 2012
Inconvenient location away from restaurants and other businesses along the Airport Wy or the downtown Fairbanks area. The hotel doesn't provide any kind of shuttle service unlike many other hotels in the city. Cab rides would cost between $10 - $25 for going to anywhere unless you drive your own car or rental, and can add up easily. The rooms are noisy and quite annoying with creaks throughout the night. I couldn't get the heating system in the room to work either despite askinng the front desk stuff several times. But the worst of all is the bathroom. The toilets don't flush with enough water, and this is terribly frustrating. You have to keep flushing several times. This seems to be a common problem in this hotel and not an outlier as I read in other reviews too.

Pioneer Inn in Fairbanks, AK; absolutely horrible
Posted Jan 16, 2012 on Hotels.com
My horrible stay in Fairbanks: I booked my room on Hotels.com at the Pioneer Inn in Fairbanks, Alaska; the reviews were not good, but because the reviews were for the Comfort Inn, I didn’t take much notice. It was absolutely the most horribe hotel I've ever stayed at and would not recommend this hotel to anyone much less my dog. And don't let them fool you, the swimming pool is not working.

ok hotel if you are on a budget.

Pros: price
Cons: cleanliness
Location: Good location
We choose this hotel only because of price. Its true you get what you pay for. Rooms were surface clean only. It is an older hotel in need of remodeling and a good thorough deep cleaning.

Dirty /debris filled carpets in the room and hallways- no vacuming took place whole 3 day stay. Pet friendly so yapping dog for over an hour one night, bed uncomfortable, noisy - walls are thin, microwave, refrigerator and hair dryer did not work as the outlet(s) they were pluged into had no power to them. Limited channels on TV, old school TVs (no flat screen) Only positve was front desk staff was friendly.
