“A good night's sleep”
If you need a clean, no frills room in Vallejo, stay at the Deluxe Inn. It's just of the freeway. There is't much around it, but it is fine for a brief stopover.
“great place for the money”
it was very clean,it was a very good hotel, the freeway was a little noisy but i hardly noticed,i would definitly stay there again
“Race Weekend”
The hotel was very clean, but I wouldn't depend on trying to get any real service there if you needed it. Everything worked (though don't try making any microwave popcorn). No clock in the rooms and they don't have any to give you, so I went out and bought my own. Not the best neighborhood in the world, but I spent most of my time at the track and doing race things. Within a 20 minute or so drive to Infineon and one of the least expensive places around. Will stay there again next time I attend a race out that way, unless I can find one for around the same price and distance from the track (with a microwave that actually works with popcorn).
“OK if nothing else available”
They are in the middle of a remodel. We booked 2 adults and 2 kids. There were only two towels (not bath size), which were like sandpaper and very thin, the pillows had no fluff at all and no tissues in the bathroom. However, the bathroom was clean and the room large. If you need a room and nothing else is availale it was fine. However, the room rate was just as expensive as the much nicer hotel we normally stayed in. It was NASCAR weekend, so you have to factor that in also.
“Under construction?”
The hotel was just off the freeway, so the room was a bit noisy. It obviously used to be a nicer hotel, with a pool and spa, etc., but now is quite run-down. The rooms were clean, however, and the neighborhood wasn't too scary. I don't regret staying there, but I don't think I would stay again.
“Won't stay there again”
The first room we were put in didn't have a remote for the t.v. and when we decided to run across the street to Rite-Aid, our room wouldnt lock. I brought the man from the front desk up and he messed with it a little and then said it was locked, when he started to walk away my husband reached over and opened the door right up!! Needless to say we asked to be transfered to another room. The next room was fine. I would suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner if more than 1 person needs to shower and dont expect much from the continental breakfast. Also, there are no alarm clocks or clocks of any sort in the rooms. If we had it to do over we would have paid more to stay elsewhere.
“Great rate and location but the neighborhood is questionable.”
The rooms have been upgraded and are very decent for the money. The hotel staff was wonderful. Overall location was good. Concern for us was the neighborhood and some of the - what appears to be - long term residents living at the hotel. My husband had to dump some garbage and when he went to the dumpster, he said it looked like some homeless folks lived in back of the hotel.
“expensive for what you get”
Price of room was 4 star for 1 star quality.
“Deluxe Inn”
The rooms were clean and spacious. However, the hotel as a whole is in a state of decline. The hallways did not look good, the pool has been covered over. I personally would pass this one up on any future trip to the area. Also the hotel clerk could improve the customer service.
“Do not stay here!”
We got in late on a friday night. The checkin booth worker hardly talked to us and was on the phone and didn't get off to help. When we got in the room there were ants crawling in the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken and had tape to hold it together that was dirty. The pillows were flat and the sheets had stains and writing on them. Also we requested a non-smoking room and when we walked in we could smell a strong smoke smell. The patio door was propped open as if that would make the smell go away. It was completely disgusting and I barely slept all night because it was uncomfortable and dirty. The hallways and elevator/stairways were dirty as well. The name "Deluxe Inn" does not fit this hotel. This ruined the first day of the trip and we were only there for the weekend! I wish someone else had written a review so I could have avoided this horrible experience.
