“Great family getaway”
Family of 4 aiming for a hotel with an indoor pool (it was wintertime); found the rooms to be spacious and clean; breakfast was complimentary and had a good variety, with some hot foods (eggs/sausage) and numerous pastries and cereals; coffee and tea 24/7, complimented by hot cocoa and apple cider. The staff was GREAT and very friendly. The hotel location was surrounded with numerous food options, though, most were on the less healthy side. The Rockville Hills Regional Park was only about 6-7 minutes away by car and was a great place to do some trail running first thing in the a.m., though, could easily be converted to a family picnic day or hike.
Only a few minor complaints. The indoor pool was among the warmest I had ever been in, however, the hot tub was so hot that we couldn't tolerate being in it for more than 8-10 minutes (this needs to be fixed). Also, the humidity in the pool area was so high that water was dripping from the ceiling, making it next to impossible to read while the kids swam! This may have had to do with the very high humidity that evening, however, and may not have been the fault of the hotel?!
