“Nice place to stay”

The resturant being inside this hotel is a great convience

“Nice place, great price and very good free breakfast!!!!”

This hotel was a very good stay. We were there the night before and of the 4th of July. We were treated very well even with having to move rooms bc of our so called barking dog that was with us. So called by the jerk in the room next to us. But this was not the hotels fault they were very accommodating to us and found us a basement room were we could have our dog in peace. P.S. IF YOU PLAN TO STAY IN ERIE DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THE AVALON HOTEL. THEY ARE EVIL EVIL PEOPLE. THE FRONT DESK (WOMAN?) WAS HORRIBLE TO US ABOUT OUR DOG AND STATED SHE DID NOT CARE THERE WAS NO WHERE TO TAKE THE DOG TO THE BATHROOM AND SHE TOLD US THAT WE COULD LEAVE AND OH WELL WITH WHAT WE PAID SHE DID NOT CARE. THEN THEY HAD A MAINTENANCE THUG OF THEIRS TO TRY AND SCARE US INTO BEING OK WITH THERE PET POLICY.. THEY CUSSED AT US BECAUSE WE QUESTIONED THEM... LUCKILY EXPEDIA GAVE US OUR MONEY BACK BECAUSE THE AVALON HOTEL LIES ABOUT BEING A PET FRIENDLY HOTEL. THEN WE FOUND THIS WONDERFUL PLACE IF YOU HAVE A PET OR NOT THIS PLACE WAS VERY GREAT!! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING AT THE EVIL AVALON HOTEL. ONCE AGAIN STAY AT THIS HOTEL DO NOT STAY AT THE AVALON!!!

“Not Bad for the Price”

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel when in town for a wedding. The room and bathroom were very clean and we found the bed to be very comfortable. The continental breakfast was not very good but all of the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar in the basement was a lot of fun if you enjoy country music or like to line dance. The hotel is only a short drive from downtown Erie and Presque Isle.

“It was good”

The hotel was good, they let us check in early. It doesnt look so great from the out side but when you get into the room it was nice and clean. The only complaint I have is that the walls were paper thin so we could hear the people next door clear as day. Its good for a 1 or 2 nite stay.

“Nothing Special”

A bit pricy for the caliber of the facility.

“Great beds, poor front desk attitude”

The person who greeted us was less than friendly and not helpful. The whole area was not the most attractice and smokers will love the restaurant. We didn't. However, the beds were the most comfortable I've had in a long time and the room was neat and usable. Considering the difficulty in getting rooms in Erie, it was an acceptable accommodation.

“Good enough for a stayover...”

Comfortable room, fine for a quick night's sleep while traveling. Very uninviting lobby! This place was hard to find: we tried to call for directions for an hour before arrival, but no one ever answered the phone....

“In a rundown part of town, old and smelled like strongly like smoke, but friendly staff and ok rooms”

Staff was friendly and service was prompt. There is only abandoned gas stations/truckstops nearby and nothing else. Hallways smelled horribly like cigarette smoke, but non smoking room smelled fine. Clean linens and towels.rooms could use some maintainence just from age. Overall good stay for just a night off the road, but wouldn't recommend for a family vacation.

“The Price”

For the price the hotel was good. If you don't want too spend much for a room and sleep comfortable this is the place to go.
