“dirty, dirty, dirty”

I used hotwire the first time and got this "3 star" hotel and expedia the second time and got it again. There is no way this is a 3 star hotel. I had to take the tray that holds the coffee maker to to front desk because everything on it was disgusting. The two people behind the desk apologized but that was as far as it went. The vents are dirty, behind the dresser was filthy. Television is old. Actually everything in the room was old. The breakfast was okay and the lady that took care of the food was very nice and helpful. Please change your rating of 3 stars to at least a 2 and it should only be a 1. As you can tell, my two sisters, my mom and I were very disappointed.

“Great for the price!”

The room was clean and all staff were very friendly especially the hostess in the breakfast room. Great variety of breakfast choices both hot and cold! Great Value for the price!

“Hotel needs updating”

While the room was relatively clean, the hallways and lobby have a damp smell. The hallway outside our door was cold and our room was too warm even after I turned down the thermostat. The staff was pleasant and did their job efficiently. I would never pay their regular price for a room. I only stayed there because of a super rate from Expedia. There are other hotels in Fargo/Moorhead for the same price that are much nicer.

“A place to sleep... but that's about it”

This hotel met our needs for somewhere to sleep, but it was very overpriced for the quality of the lodgings... likely due to a busy weekend in Fargo with several conventions, tournaments and a Bison game. We had procrastinated on booking a hotel until the last minute, so settled with this option. The breakfast and service were good, but the hotel property and rooms need some serious updates! The older design of rooms has the bedroom and large windows immediately adjacent to the corridor, which makes it a bit louder in the room and you need to keep the shades pulled if you want any privacy, which forces you to sacrifice natural light. The bar/restaurant on site dominates the front of the building and we were a bit confused at first as to whether or not we were at the right place... but our GPS confirmed it. I'd recommend looking elsewhere, first, if you have an alternative!

“Clean but noisy”

Overall, the hotel is clean but if you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you to get a decent night's rest. The noises and voices from the hallways comes right through the walls and the footsteps of people on the floor above was very noticable. The person checking me in was friendly & efficient. The breakfast area was clean and offered a basic but sufficient amount of choices of food.

“This hotel is NOT a 3 star!”

We were unpleasantly surprised when we booked this "3 star" hotel and ended up with the Kelly in on Main. We had recently stayed at a Fairfield Marriott and Hampton Inn and this hotel just did NOT meet our expectations. The ONLY reason we booked is that Expedia listed it as a 3 star and it is NOT. If this hotel had been listed as a 1 or 2 start I wouldn't have given it such a poor review, but it is set up for failure being listed as a higher star rating than it qualifies for. Decor is old, in need of repair, beds need replaced, etc. which would have aligned more with a 1 or 2 star hotel. The staff were pleasant and again, the hotel itself would have deserved a better rating if it was listed properly- I don't know if the hotel or Expedia should be the one to change this, but don't book this hotel if you are expecting a 3 star!

“New favorite in Fargo, reasonable price, nice rooms.”

Nicely refurbished older motel. I like the rooms, the amenities are nice. The bar is relaxed and provides some comforts for the weary traveler.
