Central hotel close to downtown Farmington

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Reasons above and also very convenient proximity to Four Corners National Monument.
Cons: N/A
Location: Salmon Ruins and Bloomfield are very close, easy one hour 20 minute drive to Four Corners.
The staff was extremely friendly, very helpful with restaurant suggestions and sights to see in the area. Room was great. I had a breakfast voucher for The Bistro and it was delicious! Lovely place to stay.

Great hotel ! I come here for business.

Posted Feb 8, 2015
Pros: As a woman traveling alone, I always feel welcome and safe here.
Cons: Not a thing!
Location: Wonderful walk along the river that you can access right out the back door. Although Farmington is a smaller city, it has a great museum.
I had a reservation for 2 nights and had car trouble and could not make it for the first night. The staff was so efficient and nice about revising my reservation. And the coffee is good too!

Courtyard Farmington

This hotel was clean, the staff were friendly. The hotel was in great condition. I really liked the bistro where I could get meals and the bar where I could enjoy a drink after work.

Rested night.

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed and the quiet.
Cons: Need mirror for make-up.
Location: Village Inn was immediately next door and Farmington being a small town, everything was within short distance.
We were on the 4th floor away from the ice machine & elevator. Quiet room, did not hear hall traffic or loud televisions from neighboring rooms. Bed was very comfortable and we rested well which was much needed. Only downside was the ongoing heater and the low-lit mirror areas...I had a hard time seeing my eyes putting on make-up. Overall, we enjoyed our stay even if it was just to rest.

Unfriendly Manager

Posted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Facilities esp swimming pool
Cons: Friendly and compassionate managers especially to the children!
Location: No comment
After a nice swim, my daughter and her family (my daughter, her husband, their 8 year old daughter and 2 & 4 year old sons) retired to their second floor room to eat and go to sleep. In a few minutes, the security guard came and notified them that the first floor customer had complained that they were being noisy! My daughter was upset because they had kept their little ones from being boisterous! However, she and her husband agreed to keep their sons quiet. In only about 2 minutes, the guard arrived again and told them that the customer below them had once more complained! Knowing that they did well to keep their sons quiet, my daughter asked to speak to the manager and when she arrived, she told them to move or get out! My son-in-law asked nicely if the person below them could move instead of them because of their children, all their belongings and Christmas gifts ! The manager demanded them to move or get out AGAIN! She was very rude! They finally moved about an hour getting their children ready and gathering their things. As they were moving down the hall, there was a lot of noise from some party people! It would have been nice if the manager could've been nicer about the whole situation, instead of telling them outrightly to move or get out! What kind of a person tells a whole family to move in the middle of an extremely cold night! It was about 10:30 - 11:00 pm! It had snowed and it was freezing outside! This manager was very insensitive exp to kids!

Absent at the checkin

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: Clean - nice accomodations
Cons: Staff needs to be present and aware of guests arriving -
Location: Location is good
No one was at the checkin desk, nor anywhere near when I arrived. It took me 15 minutes to locate someone to tell me help would arrive soon..... then it took another 10- minutes for someone to show up to complete the checkin process..... No apologies or explanation - just business transaction needed...
