Wonderful property and location. Pool was clean and open til 11pm. We stayed in a unit with one mirror in the bathroom(6 ladies), which we found interesting given there are 3 TVs. If wall space is an issue, back of door mirrors would be a great addition.

Our room was perfect for my wife and I traveling to New Orleans with our daughter and her three little girls. Two full bedrooms with a full kitchen and a nice hot tub and pool. A lot of Mardi Gras visitors on Frenchman Street, but the hotel and parking lot were safe and secure. Customer service was outstanding and we were very pleased with our stay.

The complex is under construction. We were not warned by either by expedia nor the host. Upgrades are totally understandable however it wasn't the noise of standard power tools etc. that woke us up at 8am it was the yelling of the construction workers back and forth. This even happened on Sat and Sunday! The noise continued until 8pm every night. I usually love staying here. The location is the best!

We are working to remedy the problem of the construction workers coming onto the property prior to 8 AM and yelling to one another. Good price, Great location, but noisy area

Hotel is good. Location is great for walking, but it is a noisy area. Would recommend for singles, couples looking to enjoy the French Quarter, but not families.

Frenchmen Street has indeed become famous for its Jazz and Blues clubs and we are located right in the middle of all the action. French Market Gem

Wow! I found the place to stay in New Orleans, if you want to stay away from the Bourbon St commotion. This place is right on Frenchmen St, across from some much quieter action....bars/food/music! It's also a short walk from the French Market, River, Jackson Square and much more. I was worried that I might have trouble getting to sleep and was even offered complimentary ear plugs when I checked in, which I declined to take because I had brought my own. I didn't need to use them! My room was on the third floor in the back of the building. The bedroom was the farthest room from the street and when I closed the bedroom door and turned the HVAC system's fan to the "on" position for white noise, I heard nothing from the outside! I doubt this would be true for the rooms in the front of the building, so if you want a good night's sleep, get one in the back. The room itself was clean, renovated and comfortable. It had a separate galley kitchen, eating area, large living room, separate bedroom and bath, with a big walk in closet. The bed was super comfortable. There were two 45" TV's, one in the LR and the other in the BedR, with a large cable channel selection. I could have lived there full time and been very happy! The desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They use a text message system to communicate with their guests and several times they texted me to check to see how the room was and whether there was anything they could do for me.

My family and I were so pleased with our stay here! The location is great with plenty of activities near, the hotel is unique and comfortable and the staff is so helpful and accommodating. When we arrived, Christopher was on duty and he was so very helpful. The other staff we met were friendly and great. This will definitely be "our place to stay" when we go to New Orleans! Thank you Frenchmen at 519 for a memorable stay!

Loved the location. Fun to watch the street below from the outside common balcony. No elevator which was inconvenient for little old ladies, but we managed just fine. Host was more than willing to help us get out luggage up the stairs and offered to help when needed. Would certainly stay there again. Not the Ritz, but lots of character. Very roomy two bedroom suite was perfect for us.
