Part of the Aegadian Islands, Favigna is known for its caves of volcanic rock and the ancient fishing technique of tonnara, which is the trapping and massacre of bluefin tuna. It is one of the few places in Italy where this is still done. Due to its volcanic nature, there are few beaches, but tourists like the scuba diving and snorkeling conditions here.
