Dog and owner unfriendly and unsafe

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Don't advertise as dog friendly
This hotel is said to be dog friendly. It is not. When we told them that we had a small dog we were immediately sentenced to a dog room not the king suite we paid for. The room was one of several in the back of the hotel and had two double beds. It smelled so strongly of disinfectant that we asked to change. The next room was slightly better but after several hours our eyes, noses, and throats were so irritated we decided to just leave, at five am. I have no idea what they use between occupants, but it cannot be safe. Also, I paid a Forty dollar fee for the privilege of subjecting ourselves to this. Twenty four hours later, our symptoms have largely abated, but not completely. Their real rooms may be fine. We will never know.

Pet friendly motel on Rt 95South

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Pros: On premises restaurant.
Cons: A renovation would be fabulous but a thorough cleaning would help.
Location: We are traveling not touring.
We have stayed in this hotel for the last 4-5 years. It is pet friendly and has a restaurant on premises. We have always found it acceptable. This time we found the bathroom to be really dirty. The corners of the floor had accumulated dirt left from wet mopping without vacuuming first. It was really disgusting and made me question everything in the room. Also, I am a Diabetic. I always keep my insulin in the bottom of the refrigerator door and store my freezer packs in freezer to refreeze overnight returning all to my cooler when traveling. When I loaded my refrigerated objects next morning, everything was frozen..water bottle, apples etc. I believe the insulin was saved because it was in a heavy pouch at the bottom of the door. Next year, we must look for another motel.

Pros: The pool.
Cons: Cleaning.
Location: Fort Bragg is close.
The bathroom had not been cleaned completely. The staff was very friendly and professional. The pool was nice, but it was difficult to locate. Not enough signs directing.

Not good. Hotel staff needs training in courtesy and providing information about your hotel. Not much of a selection in eating places at this exit.

Nice Hotel and food

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Cons: The housekeeping I thought full service was still in effect
Nice hotel and the food was nice but my room carpet was not vacuumed when I arrived. I returned from work my second day I thought they skipped my room but the bed was made. Nothing was replenished coffee, cups, ice bucket liner, bag toilet tissue etc.Nothing was wiped or cleaned the trash was not taken. I left nothing out in their way. When I called no one showed up to give me a vacuum after waiting i canceled the call because no one showed up.

Old motel under disguise

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Having hot water for showers in the morning will be a plus.
Some Beautiful parts in that hotel, unfortunately we were in an old wing that looks like a old motel. Entrance of the room with low ceiling, living room and bedrooms. Big, cleanish but old and decrepite.

Highway Hotel

This hotel is a very old Holiday Inn! Although the room is clean, it doesn't meet other Holiday Inn's standard

Good hotel for a night stay

Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The staff is very friendly and the hotel is conveniently located off of I95.
Cons: Could have more amenities like a heated indoor pool.
Location: Good location for travelers on I95 and there is a Ruby Tuesday across the street - great burger for a late night dinner/ snack.
We arrived late on a rainy night after a very long drive and was greeted by a friendly staff person at check-in which went quick and got us into our room fast. Our room was comfortable for a quick night stay and the buffet breakfast the next morning was very good.
