There are several issues with this property. The shower water pressure is so weak my wife couldn’t rinse the soap out of her her. The electrical system in room 227 may have a short in it as lights dimmed and flickered when on. I had to pull out the refrigerator and coffee pot to plug them in. On Saturday I came down for breakfast at 8:50 AM it was all cleaned up. Breakfast is until 9:00. My wife is a diabetic and having breakfast is important for her health. The wall tiles for the tub don’t line up. The property looks run down and out of date.

The location is nice. There is a sidewalk leading to the shopping center nearby so we could walk around. The heating in the room is a little too loud. Took a while to get used to it.

The staff were super helpful. We had someone staying next to us who was loud, shouted at her kids, and screamed for help at 1am on our floor. We requested a room change and the staff were very understanding and placed us in another room far away from all the commotion. There were a lot of good restaurants within 10-15 minutes from the hotel.

Overall, a clean and safe place to catch some good nights sleep while on the road. Chilis was nearby and open till 10, which made a later check in much smoother for my girlfriend and I. Breakfast was as good as we expected. A very simple eggs, sausage, and bacon was served as well as your standard cereals and fruits.

The hotel had a very musty smell. The bathroom had mold in the corners of shower/tub. The bathrooms had no circulation. The ac unit would only go down to 66 which stayed humid in room/bathroom was worse. Upon checking in, the agent at desk was very unfriendly. Leaving the girl then was super nice though. Not worth $146! Area had some restaurants across street but should have stayed 5 min down road where it was much cleaner and had tons of options.

Poor customer service
When I arrived I was not greeted with a welcome, the attendant was unprofessional, I had to provide my address to him more than three times and he acted as though I was an inconvenience to him. This was a poor customer service for my first experience with Wingate. I probably won't stay at this Wingate again nor refer any family or friends.

It was absolutely stunning. Rooms were very clean, bathtub drained without any problems. AC was nice and cold. They have luggage carts that made unpacking/packing so much easier. Only complaint is they have taken out the vending machines and have their own mini market which was very expensive, two sodas ended up costing about 6 bucks.

Very Disappointed!!
Our overnight stay is due to our travel to Hilton Head Island, NC. The room is very nice and clean, but the bathroom is in desperate need of a renovation, cleaning it make you still uncomfortable, because It doesn’t feel clean. It’s very old, rusted areas and warn! We were told breakfast was from 7am-9am. We went to breakfast at 8:30am and it was no food left. No hot coffee, until we asked. I spoke to the front desk concerning the issue, and was told he would speak to the pantry. I need this hotel to make it right! I’m sure the price of the breakfast was included in the room charges.
