Excellent vacation! We stayed 5 nights. The first night was in room 304, a VERY small but cozy room, then we moved to 322, which was a suite with ocean view. Very comfy, only thing I would suggest is a small desk to use your laptop at. Steps to a gorgeous beach, only issue there is the parking area directly next to the hotel is a public beach parking area, so the beach does get crowded around the hotel. The restaurant, Sandy Bottoms is ok, we ate there three times but had to wait over an hour for our food as they said they were busy, but plenty of waiters and waitresses, just not enough cooks I guess. Food portions were also small for the price. Loved the staff at the hotel, Pete the breakfast chef and Jordan at the counter were excellent! Will definitely be back next year! Loved it.

My stay at the Ritz Carlton blew away my expectations. From check-in to sitting by the pool, every employee was friendly and very accomidating. The hotel even sent up a bottle of champagne in honor of my boyfriend's birthday. Incredible!
Our room was stunning and extremely clean! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

My daughter and I were seeking beachfront accomodations for a lowkey, relaxing springbreak - this was the perfect place. Easy check-in, plenty of parking, very clean room, free Wi-Fi, pool on dunes overlooking the beach, dedicated beach access, outside shower to rinse off, complimentary morning coffee/pastries/fruit and afternoon fruit water/cookies. An older motel that has been well maintained, loved the tile/laminate flooring in the room (I much prefer over motel/hotel carpeting) - staff friendly, accommodating. Surf bar/grill across the street we enjoyed also. One of the most beautiful beaches we've seen - clean, wide, plenty of room. Two minutes from commercial sites (restaurants, stores) and within 10 minutes of Historic Fernandina Beach District/fort. We really enjoyed out stay. All rooms have an oceanview, if you want oceanfront - there are 4 rooms - would recommend one of the 2 on the second floor for best ocean view (so you can see over the dunes). Download the Amelia Island app and you might be able to save some money on accomodations.

We chose this resort because of the different activities it offered. But with the excellent amenities like the pools and beautiful beaches we only had time for a couple of the activities and classes. We are looking forward to going back next year to explore new things.

Wonderful stay at a graciously maintained and furnished 1905 home. Pool in the back, a quick walk to shops and dining, and only about a mile away from fabulous beaches! Owners are great and attentive. Made-to-order breakfasts are delicious.

The staff was very friendly and provide brochures of local activities and sites. The condo was nicely furnished with a hugh flat screen tv in the living room, tvs in both bedrooms, and comfy seating and beds. The kitchen was rather large compared to other condos I have rented. There was a balcony facing the beach. The pool was nice but unheated and on the small side. Parking was adequate with one space per a condo. Overall, it was a great place to stay while on vacation.

First inhabited by Native Americans, Fernandina Beach is on Florida’s Amelia Island. It has the distinction of being the only city in the U.S. to have flown eight different national flags since the mid-1500s: France, Spain, the United Kingdom, the patriots of Amelia Island, the Green Cross of Florida, the Confederate States of America, and the United States.
