Awesome pool and hot tubPosted Feb 20, 2015
Location: Great location right at the base of the mountain
We had a great experience at Lizard Creek. The room was very big and it was nice to have a balcony. Hotel staff was very helpful and the restaurant had amazing food. We really enjoyed the outdoor pool and hot tub that overlook the mountain. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean and close to the lifts.Posted Feb 11, 2015
Originally booked somewhere else. Had issues so found this last minute for a great price. Hotel staff was very nice. Room was clean and cozy. Had everything we needed but the balcony was a bit small.

Great location, weather was awesome!Posted Feb 4, 2015
Pros: It was great to stay in a ski in/ out resort.
Cons: Provide barbe ques on deck.
Location: Town of Fernie was nearby to go in for supper.
The room was very clean. The maids came in each day to clean, empty garbage & change towels. We did have to ask for all towels that weren't replaced. We had mentioned at the desk about the phone not working and needing more towels. Service was very prompt, someone came to check phone and someone came and gave us towels within 15 mins. We really appreciate this looked after within short time. Front desk was polite, friendly & helpful.

Lovely lodge right on the ski hill!Posted Jan 31, 2015
We arrived at the Lizard Creek Lodge around 10pm- well after dark. We were graciously greeted at check in and directed to our room, which turned out to be much more spacious and accommodating than we expected. The 1 bedroom suite was a full sized apartment with a well-stocked kitchen, gas fire place, and jacuzzi tub! Each lodge building has underground parking and a large outdoor hot tub, which was very relaxing. We decided to ask the front desk clerk how best to get on the hill, as we wanted an early start the next day and we couldn't really see our surroundings since we arrived after dark. We were informed with a chuckle that we just had to "step outside..." And that was not an understatement! The next morning once the sun was up we could see that we were RIGHT at the base of one of the chair lifts. You can put on your equipment and just go. Not only was this convenient, but it meant that the view from every window (suite, restaurant, etc) was incredible! I would definitely recommend Lizard Creek Lodge to anyone looking for a scenic and accommodating Fernie vacation. We will absolutely be coming back!

We would definitely go there again...Posted Jan 15, 2015
Pros: The kitchen and all the cooking things that were needed was there. It was great. Close to the ski lift...children enjoyed it very much.
Cons: We had to leave early one day before checking out cause we had a death in the family. I couldn't get in contact with Expedia if we could have a credit
Location: We didn't go far from the ski hill. We enjoyed coming back to the loft...
It was a good experience. I would book the same room again but hopefully by next year, the rug could be fixed...it didn't look nice. Everything else was good. We didn't have the maid once clean our room. We did that ourselves. They were helpful providing us the things we needed. They were very nice. The restaurant food wasn't too good. Hamburgers was so hard and I ordered 85 dollars worth of food for our grand kids...(3) variety...meatballs were so bad, I would not feed them to the children. Fish and chips was so lame and tasteless...so I didn't take the family to eat out any more...everything else was ok...Ski hill was great...

Staff made this the place to stay!!!Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: The Staff and they usual comforts of a hotel!!!
Just spent two nights there. Loved this place. If I had a problem and they could solve it, that's exactly what happened. The accommodations are very nice!!! The restaurant has good food. The staff is by far the best staff at a resort that I have ever encountered and I've stayed at a lot of places. Thank you to the staff at Lizard Creek for making my stay comfortable and feeling like I can't wait to go back and stay again!!! The Best New Year to all of you!!!

Ski in ski out lodgingPosted Dec 29, 2014
Pros: Ski in and ski out lodging . Big hot tub areas in building #2.
Cons: Need staff to check on towels in hot tub areas. We went to hot tub at 5:30pm and there was no towels.
Location: No comment
We booked two rooms for our family of 6 for ski trip. Room 2207 was spacious and it could fit 6 people in one room. Although we only had one night stay in this lodge, but it was relaxing to soak in hot tub after full day of skiing. There was no towels in hot tub room, so we send one person back to two rooms to pick up bath towels.

Not too bad overall...Posted Dec 23, 2014
Had our fridge quit on us in our room. We were given a new fridge within a few hours which was nice but ended up losing all of the kids food in the process. We extended our stay one day and one of the front desk attendants were really helpful in changing a few things in their system so we didn't have to change rooms. Thanks for that! Location was good, snow removal and ice sanding needed more work. Hot tub in our building didn't work( I only pushed the button once as directed). Heated garage had good sized parking stalls for a truck. Was surprised though of how I could book a room on Expedia for 120/night but when I tried to book it directly through the front desk, they were over 300 a night... I would say this place is a great deal at 98 or 120 but if I had to pay 300-400 plus, I would expect more. I hope these are fair comments. I would stay here again.

Nice room, horrible bed, plan on going somewhere bPosted Nov 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was very nice and clean. Had every thing we needed. Service was good. The bed was aweful! Which was a suprise because the room was so nice. It was very hard. Didn't sleep at all. There were a bunch of teenagers running around screaming in the middle of the night, which kept us up for hours. Continental breakfast was a joke! There were only boxes of cereal and some dry cinnamon rolls.
