Way out of the WayPosted Aug 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
This cozy little community hotel is only 12.8 miles as the crow flies or a bit over 20 miles from the airport with a bus drop off across the street, but don't let the distance fool you. It is a $140 American in a taxi or a 3 hour bus trip. The bus stops 6 times, you change buses 5 times with long waits in between. Oh, and the buses do not run on Sundays and the train runs late on Sundays. Once out in this suburb prepare yourself for nothing to do or offered. So if you don't have a plane to catch at 7 am or a tour to catch at 6:30 am, you'll be okay-except if you are actually planning on sleeping. The music plays through the night. Be prepared for not only vibrating floors, but the beds vibrate from the music as well. Dialog outside of your window goes through the night. You'll hear conversations and the DJ as if they are sitting on your bed. The thin mattress leaves a bit to be desired as well. Clean linens were provided. The fish and chips at the hotel restaurant was good but we had no other choice than to eat there at the hotel. I would not recommend this place.

No wifi in room !Posted Aug 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel was pretty average in most respects. Room was clean but rather sparse. Nice bar serving bar food at reasonable prices. Good breakfast served in morning. Despite advertising free wifi in rooms, this is untrue as it is only available in bar. Very very annoying for business traveller booking in good faith and rather dishonest in my opinion.

The food was very good, but the service was very slow, took nearly an hour for our meal to arrive, also there was no over night staff incase of an emergency.....lose your key at night and you won't get in....no phone number to call !!

Hotel servicePosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
I went up for business but also took my wife and her mother with me and they used the trip for some sightseeing around the east coast of Scotland and the location was ideal for this. I found the hotel staff excellent and the food served in the restaurant as good as I have come across in any of the large hotel chains. I booked an extra night direct with the hotel to stay another day as i found it to be extremely good value for money and would reccomend this hotel to all friends and family.

Pleasant but remotePosted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
Cute place to stay if you want to be away from the rest of the world. Little loud at night when the bar patrons filter into the streets and start fighting though! Breakfast was awesome!
