Average hotel close to townsPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Van drivers were great. We're close to pool, restaurant and bar.
Cons: Needs a lot of maintenance and more things things to do both during the day and at night. Nothing for kids except the pool.
Location: Beach was disappointing and too far to walk to a bus. Taxis were scarce. Was quicker to walk to FIrst Landing to get a cab.
Booked an ocean view room but were on the ground floor which I presume was the garden view room as that was all we could see. Not any info in rooms about what to see close by. Just seemed to push Beachcomber and certain shops in town. Restaurant menu got boring after eight nights. Never got given the alternative menus which were less expensive we found out. Very wet getting from A to B when it was raining with no covered walkways. General manager very unfriendly and not at all interested in guests.

Nice HotelPosted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Nice location, nice staff
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms
Location: nice and quiet location but not too much around
Nice location, friendly staff. Got a room without a key and used bathroom upon check-in, but we were switched to another room without trouble. Reception staff is also very helpful where they can.

Cons: The washing machine I believe was broken, however there weren't any Pool towles, so increase in Pool Towles.
Location: Beachcomber with the Splash Boys leaving from the hotel Lautoka township a Local rugby game
Hotel was exactly what we paid for. We stayed in a moutain view room (110) which had a beautiful view of Cupid Point looking to the ocean straight ahead and to the left was the moutain. A great room which got lots of morning sun and was nice and cool in the afternoon for that afternoon nap. We also stayed in the Pool Villa room, which had a beautiful view of the Pool and ocean front. You can see across to Denerau. The staff are friendly and so fun and become your lil family while away. The Restaurant does AMAZING PIZZAs and Dinners and the blackboard specials are really delish! The Pool is a great size pool, and while there in June 2014, it was never full, lots of room for all ages. The Pool bar is also a great feature with decent size pool seats! The location is away from the touristy hussel and bussel of Denerau, and Lautoka is a short 15 minute drive (aprox. $24FJD) where lots of shops to get your little Fiji gifts for friends and family back home. Denerau is a 40 minute drive and we paid aprox. $55 FJD to get there for the evening and again aprox. $55 FJD to return back to our Resort. Denerau is good, however quite built up for tourist and pricey. At Anchorage they offer a great day trip to beachcomber which is well worth the value for money, where a FULL days of activies sail by so quickly - would do it again. Would recommend Anchorage to all friends and family, it definately is relaxing!!!

Nice hotel but it hard to find at nightPosted Jun 20, 2014
Overall nice experience. Hotel was relaxing, road should be built properly at the enterence and the place is hard to find at night if you drive on your own. Make sure you take taxi as driving is not fun there.

Our overall experience with anchorage resort is not bad. I rate 5 star for the staff. Staff was very friendly and very helpful especially Naina at the reception. The food was ok ok and was bit expensive.

Close to pool and restaurantPosted May 27, 2014
Upgraded to beach view. Friendly staff always helpful. My 10 and 14 year olds always finished their food, enjoyed the different cuisine on offer at reasonable prices. Plenty of island trips available cheaper than other resorts. Just needs updating rooms and fittings. Really enjoyed the holiday.

A Good BreakPosted May 24, 2014
Pros: I liked the location which is not on the "tourist strip". Also I got a fantastic massage (twice), thank you. Always happy and friendly staff.
Cons: The service and food in the restaurant was a big let down.
Location: Isolated Resort, Daytrips to Denarau & Beachcomber, Walks to Vuda Point Marina.
I stayed here in 1996 and returned to it because I enjoyed my stay so much. It is not the hotel it was then. It is a lot bigger and as such the little things are what made it not as enjoyable. The food was quite poor, and the servings were small. Also the service in the restaurant, although quite friendly was also quite slow. The boat trip to Denarau Island and/or Beachcomber Island was wonderful and worth the cost.

This hotel was an experience.Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The staff are fantastic, nothing is to much trouble. And if you ever stay at this resort. The food is great, just be mindful of the mossies,
Cons: A couple of minor issues with the first room we were allocated, but a word to the front desk sorted those out. Cable T.v,
Location: A walk to the village down the sugar cane tracks is a must, gives you some insight into what the locals are contending with.
We were allocated a mountain view room, that was in need of some programmed maintenance, just small things that added up to us needing to be relocated to another room at the bottom of the hill. The resort is located between two of the major centres, so a taxi is a must or a hire car, I have to make mention about the staff, they are fantastic, Clive and John are outstanding in customer service and general service provision, nothing is to much trouble for housekeeping and the front reception staff are excellent. Unfortunately the beach is less than desirable and unsuitable for swimming, or any water sports. there is an opportunity to visit the other resorts, the pool is ok, but in need of a upgrade to the surrounds, and tile work. The groundsmen work tirelessly to maintain the pool but it still needs a refurbishment. It would be nice if the rooms had cable t.v. the free wifi in the restaurant is a godsend. Some activities around the resort in relation to Fijian culture and ceremonies would be an added benefit.
