Nice hotel away from the hustle bustle of tourismPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: - friendly staff - great room - quiet and relaxed location
Location: Anchorage is secluded but have easy access to Lautoka and Nadi, by way of buses or taxis. There are daily tours to some of the islands from their dock
Relaxing and peaceful hotel experience. The hotel room was very spacious, clean and all the amenities needed, especially the outdoor jetted spa (the mini-fridge works better than the fridge I have at home!). The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and easy to strike up conversation.

Nice Resort not so close to cityPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Staff and clean.
Cons: Improve bus service.
Location: You can visit Nadi or Laukata. You can organize islands trips (we suggest Seaspray trip).
Very good resort, friendly staff and beautiful view. Not so close to cities but you can take the free bus service from hotel (only one way). Simple room but clean, really comfortable. Recommended for young couples and friends trip.

An inexpensive place to stayPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: The staff - fantastic, the pool area is beautiful and very restful. Beach is a non event but we did not miss one - the ocean is lapping and beautiful
Cons: Continental breakfast spread could have a bit of attention paid to it
Location: Beachcomber trip A , Lautoka a cheap taxi fare away, Neighbouring resort and Marina restaurants well worth a visit - again cheap transport
We found the Anchorage to be much as we would expect a lower cost facility - the pleasant surprises were the staff. They are wonderful. The unexpected surprise was the cane train - we were perplexed as to what we thought about a wee loco and many carts filled with cane trundling past the pool but then decided that we were in Fiji - sugar is a HUGE part of the economy and decided to ignore it - apart from waving to the drivers during the day. It does travel through the hotel grounds and very close to the Ocean view rooms - if it is likely to be something that will bother you during cane harvest season then I suggest you book a room further up the driveway or somewhere else. Thoroughly recommend either including Beachcomber trip in your package or booking it when there - wonderful and well worth the money. Your own beach towels would be useful however we did not have any and on using the bath towels from the room down at the pool were very pleasantly surprised each day to find a fresh set of bath towels placed back in the bathroom - magic

Average hotel close to townsPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Staff we're very friendly and helpful. Van drivers were great. We're close to pool, restaurant and bar.
Cons: Needs a lot of maintenance and more things things to do both during the day and at night. Nothing for kids except the pool.
Location: Beach was disappointing and too far to walk to a bus. Taxis were scarce. Was quicker to walk to FIrst Landing to get a cab.
Booked an ocean view room but were on the ground floor which I presume was the garden view room as that was all we could see. Not any info in rooms about what to see close by. Just seemed to push Beachcomber and certain shops in town. Restaurant menu got boring after eight nights. Never got given the alternative menus which were less expensive we found out. Very wet getting from A to B when it was raining with no covered walkways. General manager very unfriendly and not at all interested in guests.

Nice HotelPosted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Nice location, nice staff
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms
Location: nice and quiet location but not too much around
Nice location, friendly staff. Got a room without a key and used bathroom upon check-in, but we were switched to another room without trouble. Reception staff is also very helpful where they can.

Cons: The washing machine I believe was broken, however there weren't any Pool towles, so increase in Pool Towles.
Location: Beachcomber with the Splash Boys leaving from the hotel Lautoka township a Local rugby game
Hotel was exactly what we paid for. We stayed in a moutain view room (110) which had a beautiful view of Cupid Point looking to the ocean straight ahead and to the left was the moutain. A great room which got lots of morning sun and was nice and cool in the afternoon for that afternoon nap. We also stayed in the Pool Villa room, which had a beautiful view of the Pool and ocean front. You can see across to Denerau. The staff are friendly and so fun and become your lil family while away. The Restaurant does AMAZING PIZZAs and Dinners and the blackboard specials are really delish! The Pool is a great size pool, and while there in June 2014, it was never full, lots of room for all ages. The Pool bar is also a great feature with decent size pool seats! The location is away from the touristy hussel and bussel of Denerau, and Lautoka is a short 15 minute drive (aprox. $24FJD) where lots of shops to get your little Fiji gifts for friends and family back home. Denerau is a 40 minute drive and we paid aprox. $55 FJD to get there for the evening and again aprox. $55 FJD to return back to our Resort. Denerau is good, however quite built up for tourist and pricey. At Anchorage they offer a great day trip to beachcomber which is well worth the value for money, where a FULL days of activies sail by so quickly - would do it again. Would recommend Anchorage to all friends and family, it definately is relaxing!!!

Nice hotel but it hard to find at nightPosted Jun 20, 2014
Overall nice experience. Hotel was relaxing, road should be built properly at the enterence and the place is hard to find at night if you drive on your own. Make sure you take taxi as driving is not fun there.

Our overall experience with anchorage resort is not bad. I rate 5 star for the staff. Staff was very friendly and very helpful especially Naina at the reception. The food was ok ok and was bit expensive.
