“Nice retrait”
Nice friendly ressort a little away from the mainstream, though taxi's are not expensive if you do not. have your own wheels.
“Great Beach Location”
We recently spent just a day and a night at Club Fiji due to a flight layover. We were pleased to have the shuttle pick us up at the airport and that although we arrived at the resort at 7 a.m. they were more than accomodating in letting us check into our room right away. We needed this as we were wiped from the 11 hour all night plane flight. We found that Club Fiji is located right on a nice beach and was very South Pacific picturesque. Our bure was adequately nice, but had no amenities such as TV, phone, frig, etc. We tried not to do so, but we succumbed to paying their additional charge for A/C. It was warm and humid! We enjoyed lounging on the beach in both hammocks and lounge chairs under beach umbrellas. The place is very tranquil. The resort seems to be rather isolated, so we felt the need to eat all of our meals in their two restaurants, both of which we found to not be good and grossly overpriced. The bar activity seemed rather lively with lots of exotic looking drinks, but we are not partakers ourselves.
“Good place to stay away from the tourist mobs in Nadi”
Our bure was clean and comfortable, not fancy, but nice. We were right across from the beach and had windows on 3 sides so the breeze made air-conditioning unnecessary. The units with air conditioning were the furthest from the main building and were in a concrete block 2 story motel style building, They also only had windows on 2 sides - get a bure unless you are sure you need air conditioning no matter what. Wifi (free) is only available at the nearby cafe and only when the cafe is open. No TV in the rooms, but there's one in the main building if you miss watching Australian news. The beach isn't the prettiest we saw in Fiji, but it is clean and not crowded. It has hammocks and lounge chairs for those who just want to sit. The bar makes good drinks, the dinner options are reasonable. Breakfast is not good and the service in the morning is beyond slow. Downtown Nadi (tourist trap with aggressive shopkeepers), Denarau (expensive and crammed with cruise ship passengers), and the airport are short taxi rides away - about $15 to $20 Fijian each way. If you want fancy, go for the expensive hotels in Denarau. Otherwise, if you need a place to stay in Nadi while waiting for a flight to one of the outlying islands, Club Fiji is a comfortable, quiet place for a night or two.
“Great Hotel! I wish i could have stayed longer”
I only stayed for a couple of nights as a transit hotel, but it truly impressed me, I think the pictures shown are not showing the reality of this hotel, it is truly beautiful. I can't review the beach because I didn't have the time to actually go to the beach there, but the service, the food, the gardens and the rooms are great. The only complain I had was that the shower was a little too small, but just a minor detail.
“Would go back TODAY if I could!”
Our team traveled to Fiji for the 2011 International Outrigger competition. We could not have been happier with the hospitality and accommodations at Club Fiji! When returning to our room in the evening after a long day of racing, one staffer raced to open our bure door for us and said, "Welcome home!" We certainly were made to feel as if we were. Vinaka vaca levu!
“Not as expected”
We think that if you want a real Fijian experience then we would reccomend the hotel......but we are sure that if you know about Fiji then you will think to book a 5 star hotel. The highland is beautiful!
“just about perfect!”
The property was very well kept for the most part. The beach front bure was even better than expected. The staff are all friendly and I would recommend getting a massage (even though the massage station is set up in kind of an odd area) it was some of the best spent money on my entire trip. The food was all very good and came in very large portions, to the point that 2 people could probably share a lot of the meals. One thing that bothered me was the fact that since the hotel is on the beach it is obviously not close enough to walk to town or be able to catch a local bus. Your only option is either a taxi or the hotel shuttle (which they charge for and it is only available certain times of the day to take you in to Nadi). The shuttle also charges to take you to the airport when you check out. I was really a little turned off by this since we had just spent quite a bit of money at their hotel, one would think this would be a courtesy the hotel would extend at least to guests that have stayed multiple days. The only other thing I didn't like was the condition of the beach. There was random trash laying around which is not what a tourist wants to see. There were a lot of employees so it seems that somebody could have been more proactive at keeping the beach a little cleaner. Overall the positive does outweigh the negative for this property and I would most certainly stay here again. I just think there are a few small issues the hotel should look into and consider correcting.
“Club Fiji, excellent Fiji style in Nadi”
Club Fiji was everything it advertised. We used it as a stop-over location for an evening and then caught our inter-island flight the next morning. It is close to the airport at Nadi and is a lovely waterfront location. The bures were clean and nice. We stayed in the air-conditioned upper floor concrete rooms. The waterfront view was excellent and the room was clean. We had a nice portch to sit out on in the evening. The rooms are simple. There is no TV or Internet in the rooms, but this is Fiji...we came to avoid TV! Internet can be had at the cafe. The resturant is under a large thatched roof and the food was very nice. We had curry and fish, it was authentic. The bar was well stocked and the staff very friendly. I thought it was a good value and an excellent start to our Fiji vacation. We reccomend Club Fiji for anyone looking for a nice, clean and affordable waterfront location in the Nadi area.
“best transit ever!!!”
arriving at 5am i was not sure if the free shuttle transfer would be available but it was. i only waited 5-10 minutes for the driver ~ and it being so early in fiji-the sun was not even up-we stopped at the local bakery to pick up the days bread which i thought was kinda cool.there's nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread ~ in your shuttle transfer!! we also had to pick up some of the workers along the way. i didn't mind at all..it simply added to my adventure.others however, may not be so liberal! arriving at the resort about 6:30 am, breakfast wasn't open til 7 but my ! that view and the bay! the sun was rising and it was a beautiful spot to take some early morning pix. i loved my 'bure'-the hut/lodge was perfect for me.comfy bed which i made use of during my 2 jet-lagged induced naps during my stay.swam in the pool..lunch was a bountiful salad and again -that view! internet cafe was literally 1 slow computer but enough to let family and friends know i had made it. the shuttle back to the airport was not available so they called me a cab which was only 15 fijian dollars which is about US$8 ~ a short trip. overall i loved my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone with a very long lay over.just wish i had i stayed for a night!!!!
“"memories in the paradise".”
nice hotel.
