“Will be returning as soon as possible”

Total relaxation on an almost deserted Island. An amazing location and we received the most wonderful and personal service from genuinely caring and friendly staff.

Getting there
Take the Turtle Airways sea plane - It's far quicker than the boat and you get a great birdseye view of the Islands
What to pack
The resort is casual and no need to dress up
Nightlife
There is no nightlife on Yaqeta - Don't go here if that is what you are after

“The Perfect Honeymoon Spot”

Chose Navutu Stars for our honeymoon because it looked like the most romantic, intimate and secluded resort in Fiji. It delivered on all of those and more! Location: Felt like our very own island. Although far from Nadi/Denarau, it was relatively easy to get to...via Turtle Airways (30 min's; great aerial views of islands/reefs) or Yasawa Flyer (4 hours; equally scenic). Very beautiful, scenic landscapes and plenty of snorkeling around the resort. Great sunrises AND sunsets. Resort: Only resort on island with 9 adult-only Bures! Woohoo! Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Clean/modern Fiji vibe decor. So so beach (due to tidal pool; better, private beach on north side) but plenty of free (kayak, snorkeling, etc) and cheap (snorkeling, etc) activities around. Highly recommend Grand Bure #1. You'll be treated to sunrises&sunsets from a huge, private balcony overlooking the ocean and surrounding islands. Staff: The manager, Ed, and very friendly staff were extremely accommodating. Went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Also, genuinely nice people, curious to know about us and willing to share about them/their village. And, they knew when to give us our space. Very well-trained. Food: Very tasty. You'll become addicted to fresh baked muffins, mini spring rolls&samosas, lobster salad, and fresh fish. Dinner lobster wasn't as good, possibly overcooked, but everything else was great. Overally, highly recommend Navutu. It was a dream honeymoon in paradise.

Area recommendations
Snorkeling at The Blue Lagoon Swim with the Mantas Visit the local village and listen to the kids church choir sing Sunset cruise is a must
Getting there
Although far from Nadi/Denarau, it was relatively easy to get to...via Turtle Airways (30 min's; great aerial views of islands/reefs) or Yasawa Flyer (4 hours; equally scenic from the water). We did both, so we could take in both views. Remember, you're on vacation in the islands. Relax and get onto Fiji Time!
What to pack
We went in late June/early July. Weather was great. Mid 80's during the day and upper 70's most nights. Did get a little windy one night, so may want to take a lightweight jacket/hoodie to be safe. I didn't use bugspray and only got bit once. Wife used it and was bitten about a dozen times. Given your on a tropical island with lots of water, might want to be safe and take some but it wasn't a "hazard" or extreme problem. Resort is very casual. I wore board shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops most days. Class it up with a short-sleeve button down shirt at night if you feel like it, but it's not necessary.
Dining
Very tasty. You'll become addicted to fresh baked muffins, mini spring rolls&samosas, lobster salad, and fresh fish. Dinner lobster wasn't as good, possibly overcooked, but everything else was great. Go out fishing and they'll grill up your catch. MMM...soo tasty. Also, the ahi tuna was amazing. Creme brulee was a miss.
Outdoors or beach
Small and secluded, especially intimate on the north side. Decent sand but the water isn't necessarily that great for "wading." Much like many of the other Fiji's islands, there are tidal pools and reefs that go up to the edge of the sand. So it's best to snorkel, wade, walk around on high-tide. Not so much for low tides. We stayed at another resort, in the Mamanuca islands and it was the same deal.

“Couldn't ask for a better place”

Excellent get away. What makes it special is that only a few rooms are available.
