“Great family hotel”
We spent last week at the Outrigger and had an amazing time. The staff are so friendly and attentive. The food was great, especially at Ivi. We met many nice new friends at the pool. It is definitley a hotel that caters to families. We loved it!
“Great hotel”
Lovely resort, quite expensive once you get there, but the food's lovely and there's lots to do.
“We loved it”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger. The staff were friendly, welcoming and informative. Our room was more than comfortable and the grounds absolutely stunning. The pool area large and spacious and the restaurants varied and of excellent quality (especially the Ivi).

“VERY CLEAN & FRIENDLY RESORT”
The drive to the hotel is approximiatley 1 hr 2o minutes...The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful at all times...We got updated to an ocean view which was fantastic...The rooms were gorgeous and very clean ....The walk to the beach is a little bit of a hike but i needed the exercise...The pool area was really nice and you never had a problem getting a lounge chair...The ocean, well due to the tide you don't really get to use it much (kinda disappointing)...We went to the Bebe spa and it was complete serenity..My only complete would be how expensive the food at the resort....As far as i am concerned it was way overpriced..For example $34 fiji dollars for breakfast..and $4.20 for a can of coke...That is too much ...You would enjoy everthing much more if you didnt feel like you were getting ripped off on the food and drinks..Due to this being a pamper session we splured but this place would be expensive for families ...Overall though i loved the place..
“friendly people and well maintained resort”
During my stay i found the people were absoulty lovely and helpful. this was my second stay here and i would go back again. it was very clean, great service and relaxed atmosphere. food a little over priced but expected for a 5 star resort i guess. a great place if you just want to chill and meet people.
“An exceptional place to stay”
Very good location, except beach - the waters are shallow because of the riff. Closest beach for swimming - 4 km along a road to Suva. The spa is situated on thill with stunnig view of sunset. They could use the rest of the land of the hill for more bures. Hotel has a helipad, an adjacent ecopark with large collection of birds and reptiles to see. Probably the best service on Viti Levu. Food is ok as for former british protectorate (: VL
“Very nice resort”
Everyone was pleasant, the food was good. We weren't very demanding guests, just looking for a place to relax a few days. Nobody made any mistakes.
“Single/fun? Stay away. Family? Then its your place”
I think a lot of a review on a hotel/resort of this type really depends upon your background. I'm young, single, adventurous and was traveling with others much like myself. Keeping that in mind, here is my take on the Outrigger on the Lagoon: Pros: Incredibly enthusiastic and friendly staff. The resort itself is beautiful and ultimately there is very little to complain about. The restaurants serve uniformly good food, and from our comparison to local shops in nearby Sigatoka, the Outrigger general store sells necessities, snacks, and even souvenirs at a reasonable price. Cons: Unfortunately the beach has seen better days. Whether from the recent cyclone that hit before we visited, or from global warming, what seemed like it used to be a coral paradise was now mostly dead, stony coral, both in the water and on the sand itself. While the restaurants are good, they were incredibly overpriced and we found equally good food and service in town (especially at Koko's Bar!) for far cheaper. Keep in mind that when I refer to good service in Fiji, this is taking into consideration "island time" and the overall "relaxed" nature of Fijian food service :) Lot's of families and *lots* of kids. If you're young and single, you won't be meeting too many others like you here. However if you have a family and young kids, then this is your place. They also have fantastic and affordable nanny service. The resorts location is also a good midpoint between Suva and Nadi.
“A great resort to relax in”
We transferred from a resort in Denarau, the travel time about 1 hour 20 minutes. A pleasant drive along the coast. On our arrival we were welcomed by very friendly staff and our checkin was quick. The room was very comfortable and tidy. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We were provided complimentary drinks, beer or sparkling wine each evening. Throughout our stay the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The choices of restaurants to eat at within the resort were great, four in total. The food was great. If you want to get away from kids at the resort there is a new pool complex being built for adults only. There were several stores within the resort including a convenience store and several souvenir/clothing stores. There were also a number of mamas selling local crafts, etc. Although we only stayed 3 nights we will definately return.
