RelaxationPosted May 29, 2015
Pros: Staff, pools, location
Location: Bula Bus to the marina was a hit with the 2 year old. Mini golf and water park good fun
Stayed here for 6 nights with my wife and 2 year old son. We had a great time and it felt like staying with family. Had a great room close to the pools and all the staff was always smiling and friendly. Asked for a late check out and was able to stay for an extra hour and a half which meant the 2 year old could have his afternoon nap.

Great for familiesPosted May 28, 2015
Staff are very friendly and always helpful. They love kids and the kids loved them which helps for the occasional adult dinner while the kids are having a ball in kids club.

Highly recommended hotel with or without childrenPosted May 28, 2015
Pros: The pools and staff. There was many children around this hotel but it was non intrusive as the carers had so many activities to occupy them.
Cons: The only option for meals in between breakfast and lunch was greasy food at Neptunes. We ended up next door at Sheraton to get healthy meals.
Location: We did tours that took us out of Denauru Island. The night cruise was fabulous and the Jet boat up the river to a village was a 'must do' tour
Overwhelmed by the helpfullness of the staff and kind nature toward all the children. We had an early morning start for a tour leaving at 7 and no restuarants had opened as yet nor the mini mart. When we asked at the counter of the restuarant near the lobby they said we can make you up a breakfast to take away but I dont think this was standard practice, just them wanting to help us knowing we were going out on a big tour all day. Although we couldnt sit in the restuarant were given a meal to get us through the day and lucky we did because the food on the tour was only a small portion. The brother and sister band was fabulous both in the lobby bar and out on the exterior seating area overlooking the ocean...we could have listened to them all night. So relaxing, we will definitely be returning.

Excellent family holiday hotelPosted May 26, 2015
The fact that this hotel has in excess of 90% repeat business speaks volumes. Without question one of the best resorts for families with small children. The activities staff are amazing with kids and the $5 meal plan is a bonus.

One week was not long enough, needed Doctor on day 2, came within 45 minutes on Sunday. Everything was great after that, great choice of eateries, great activities, great relaxing.

2 week family holidayPosted May 23, 2015
We have stayed at the Outrigger and Sofitel in the past and compared to those, the Raddison seemed to be poorly designed and over crowded. We went during the low season so I would hate to see it during school holidays. Pool chairs were all taken by 9am. There just wasn't the space and privacy by the pool as the chairs were all packed I two rows and touching each other. You literally had to climb over the chairs to get into the pool. The adults pool was lovely, still the same chair problem. The family pool and kids pools were brilliant; it really is set up for families. Shame about the swim up bar though as having to navigate around guests with cocktails in a plastic cup while in the pool at 10am only made me think of Bali. We had a one bedroom suite which was fantastic, the sofa bed needed a new mattress so the kids had to sleep sideways on it to avoid the bars. The food was very expensive and less than ordinary. Luckily we purchased a Starwood Card so we got 50% off meals at the Sheraton and Westin. We ate there most days and made breakfast in our room. The highlight of the trip for us was the Kids Club. Our kids ADORED it. The staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. All in all we had a fantastic time, it was just a bit to cramped, noisy and busy for our liking.

Perfect holiday resort for a familyPosted May 20, 2015
Pros: The pools, the rooms, the location, the staff, the food.
Cons: Occasionally we had to ask for particular linen/towels in our room that were taken but not replaced by housekeeping. Some food was a bit expensive.
Location: Close to Port Denarau for restaurants and shopping, and other resorts for dining also. Take a cruise from the port to a neighbouring island for a day.
We recently stayed at Radisson Blu with our 3.5yo and 1yo and this resort was just perfect for their ages. The toddler pool, childrens pool, waterslide and family pool were all excellent. Having sand around the family pool meant you got the best of both worlds with a beachy feel and a resort pool, bring the sand toys for the kids to have a play (although you can purchase them locally also). There was a large variety of food options and restaurants available, plus other restaurants either at Port Denarau or neighbouring resorts are all close by. The staff were excellent and the rooms are generous. We checked out a few other resorts nearby and even one on the Coral Coast and this was the best by far for a family with children of all ages. We highly recommend it and will certainly be back there again soon!
