Lovely HotelPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Minor upgrades to bathrooms and beds
Location: Local village near by. Otherwise you will generally need a taxi to go anywhere. However the island is big enough to have a good explore.
We have just had a lovely weeks holiday at the Shangri-la, and can only say it was lovely. The staff were amazing, and the hotel was of a very hi standard. Though it was a kittle tired in places, we would definitely stay again.

Awesome Resort for Families!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Family Rooms ground floor are awesome. Two devans for kids and large king bed with a good amount of room in the rooms. Large bathrooms too.
Cons: Just the service and food at Takali Restaurant.
Location: Yes we went to Tomlu's Restaurant in a nearby village (5min in taxi) this was authentic, great price and yummy food. Also went to Gekkos Restaurant
Yes everything was perfect except at the Takali Restaurant and Bar which had terrible service and the food wasn't too good either. But that was the only bad thing I can say. Everything else was perfect. Tomlu's Restaurant int the nearby village (5min in taxi) this was authentic, great price and yummy food. Also went to Gekkos Restaurant (resort opposite) awesome food, wine, staff and the fire show is choice. Great for kids too. The Shangri La is the perfect resort for kids and our kids loved kids club. This is the second time we have been now :-)

Nicely locatedPosted Aug 9, 2014
Pros: Staff was good and helpful....ladies in the kids club are sensational.
Cons: Please do something about the deposit as a lot of the other guests I was talking to were disappointed as well.
Location: Geckos restaurant across the road was good....Buffet breakfast was excellent.
Was looking at this before and finally got to stay there...overall was good since it had a lot of kids activities. The main disappointment came as soon as we check in only to realise that I will be $900 out of pocket as a security deposit. I understand taking a security deposit but $900 for 4 of us !!!!.....way too much which apparently doesn't come back 7-10 working days after checkout.

Nice location but..Posted Aug 4, 2014
Generally speaking, the location is nice but be careful by snorkeling sea snakes!!!! Downsides: 1. Rooms need to be upgraded 2. Breakfast have to come early otherwise you will have to wait for your table and eat the rests of the food 3. If you are single or couple and looking for something quiet then it is a wrong place to go because of lots of families with kids!!!! Very laud! 4. There is no Wifi in the rooms, only broadband 5. Very expensive and especially when you are paying for something what is not that money worth. Be careful in Fiji of being ribed-off In conclusion, I think there better places to go and even on Fiji. My advise, try to find nice outer Islands. They are greater feeling of Fiji and you can relax.

FabulousPosted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Grounds were well maintained and very attractive. Pool and beach lounges were plentiful. Activities offered suited all age groups.
We were a family group of five adults and three little ones under two. We had three separate rooms. Staff were exceptional : friendly, able to anticipate our needs, efficient. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Toiletries were always topped up. Amenities, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee/tea making facilities. Beds were magic! Pillows were made of the highest quality and percentage of down and were dreamy.

Beautiful, relaxing! Enjoy your stay!Posted Aug 3, 2014
Pros: Relaxing and exciting, depend from your mood
Cons: Matts in the beds could be harder.
Location: Village tour is great. Do not miss kava ceremony!!!
Everything just fantastic! We loved the Village Night with authentic Fiji show and food! The spa and massage are very nice but a `bit overpriced. The staff are great and honest, they create joyful atmosphere in the whole hotel. Definitely going back!!!

Large property beach front, safePosted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, comfortable bed, great breakfast included in room rate
Cons: looking a bit tired in places, breakfast was sometimes cold
Location: 1 hour from Nadi airport, you are pretty much locked into the property, however the resort just across from the causeway 'Gecko is ok to eat at
All good for a few days stay, family type property, quite large now, excellent staff, friendly, busy during school holidays, have to book if you want to eat in the 3 main restaraunts, pool facilities excellent although could do with a few more loungers, right on the beach, bring your own snorkel! as they charge FJ22 to buy one with flippers & mask free for the first hour. Definitely a good option if you dont want to pay top end $$$ down the road at the new Intercontinental!
