Should NEVER be a 5 starPosted Nov 26, 2014
There is only one person to do the check in, waited for 30 minutes to be served. Hotel room is using a CRT Television which kkeps on flickering and only had about 6 channels! Throw pillow and room hotel smells!

Beautiful beach resortPosted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Main pool area and infinity pool. AdiUlt pool was under maintenance. Beach was beautiful as were the grounds. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
Cons: internet. Had to go go to lobby or beach and many times it still didn't work. Secondly lobby area is not inviting as this is the first impression.
Location: Beach is beautiful. The resort has many activities. Gym is good. Go to Gecko's across the road for their restaurant and fire show on Friday nights
We. Booked the seaview room for 3 people with 2 double beds and a sofa. It served its purpose as we were never in the room. The hotel had 3 main restaurants open and a number of cafes and a takeout location. Food prices were not as expensive as people said. It was no more expensive than Australian prices. Considering you are 4 hours away from everything , I think food prices were ok. Food was good but not great. Most staff were very friendly and service was good.

Excellent Stay at Shangri La, FijiPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Massive place as it's got everything - pools, massage centre, beach massage, kids club, restaurants, shops, etc.
Cons: The wifi could be improved. Every room should have wifi rather than just a few areas.
I stayed here at Shangrila, Fiji for 7 nights along with my wife and 21 months old daughter. Amazing experience as we found everything under one roof. Massive place as it's got everything - pools, massage centre, beach massage, kids club, restaurants, shops, etc. My little one had so much fun and I was so happy to see her happy. Our breakfast was included in the package and there was plenty to eat with so many options. I would love to go back to this place. Awesome place and very polite people. Thanks :)

CompleteBogan paradise , place down and overpricePosted Nov 10, 2014
Nice people but service s-l-o-w , almost catatonic.. Waited an hour on first night for a prawn cocktail ! Food hugely overpriced and not worth it. Rooms never cleaned the same way twice ,again lovely people but lackadaisical . If you want service this is not your place. Finally wanted to make a cup of tea in room, no milk , was charged six dollars fifty for a glass of milk when asked for just enough for tea! Just not acceptable! This is not a four star resort and does not live up to publicity!

Not a good 1 for adults without kids.Posted Nov 3, 2014
I'm a 30 something, wanting to enjoy a relaxing getaway at a nice resort. Good points: Hotel room view, Pool facilities Bad Points: Long walk from room to main resort lobby. (Not all rooms have my 5 min walk back to the main lobby) WiFi was terrible at best with constant dropouts and internet only available via Cat5 RJ45 plug for laptops and Wifi in main lobby or pool areas. No minibar for superior room. No milk for tea/ coffee in room. TV channels had terrible selection of shows and quality. General price of meals was over the top for pretty much everything. Washing facilities, Taxis and recreational sports / leisure activities too expensive.

Beautiful grounds. Very dated buildings.Posted Nov 2, 2014
Pros: Staff were great with the kids.
Cons: Decor, food, service, internet, tv.
Location: To far away from anything therefore making it very expensive.
Rained and there was nothing to do when this happened.
