“The friendliest place I've ever been!”

The hotel was amazing! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the a/c worked great. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. Everyone at the hotel (well in Fiji) was so friendly. The Bula Bus takes you to the other hotels and to the marina (It was free and came often.) The tour desk at the hotel was very useful. We loved the Seaspray trip to Modriki and also seeing the children in the village. To see the real Fiji book a tour to the other islands. We also took a taxi into Nadi to Jack's to get gifts. We had no problems in the city although we were approached several times by locals to go with them to a great shop. Don't go with them just stay in the shops within a few blocks of Jack's.

“Relaxation...Here We Come!”

We stayed at the Westin Denarau and absolutely loved it. The whole purpose for our trip was to relax and lay on the beach, and we could have taken many day trips if we wanted to. Our breakfast was included and it was fabulous! They upgraded us to an ocean front balcony because we were SPG members. The only downside was that the room smelled like smoke and even though it is a no smoking resort, lots of people still smoke, and the Fijians are just too nice to stop them. You will love the people in Fiji but make sure you tip them because they are only getting paid like $2.50 per hour, which seems like robbery to me. They will be so surprised when you do tip them and they will go out of their way even more to server you as well...maybe even inviting you to their homes for a traditional Fijian meal. One more word...SPA...go to it, you can get a 2 hour hot stone massage that is to die for. It is more affordable at the spa in Fiji than anywhere else I have seen and you also have the use of their amazing Vischy showers. The resort was generally filled with Aussies and Kiwis...not Americans and that was refreshing as well. I loved it and would totally go back!

“Staff Bends over backwards to grant your every request”

Also no bugs, great air conditioner, heavenly bed, plasma TV, beautiful pool and fountains accented by fire, elegant style. The Fijians are so warm and sincere. Fiji feels like a very safe place. Good sailing and water activities but no white sand and clear water to swim in. Food very mediocre. Weather was lovely (June). Golf course fun but mediocre.

“Expensive but we deserve it !!”

If you're travelling close to these islands as we were, it will be a good idea to include this Hotel for a pause and really have a relaxing time.

“Westin Denarau Island”

The hotel staff consisted of some of the nicest people I have ever encountered during my travels. The rooms have all the Westin features while maintaining the feel of Fiji. However, the resort does not have the white sand you would expect in Fiji. I would recommend the resort to any traveler looking for a reasonable way to enjoy Fiji.

“Vinaka - thank you - it was wondeful!”

We had a wonderful time at the Westin Denarau Island Resort & Spa. From the minute we stepped out of the bus at the hotel lobby, we knew we had arrived at a very special place. We were not disappointed and can't say 'vinaka', thank you enough to all the kind, smiling Fijians who helped make our stay so perfect. We had to keep pinching ourselves to realize that this paradise was real! A trip over to the island to lounge on the beach is a nice added feature too. Food fabulous, and the tables right on the beach, well what more can you ask for! Our only recommendation would be for The Westin Management to consider paying their staff more, as they are so very deserving.

“One of the best in Waikiki”

A great location at the end of the Waikiki strip so its a little quiet and not as congested. Across the street from the beach, so you dont have to walk far, and you can pack a breakfast from the many tasty choices of friuts, danishes, hot dishes, Sushi, Miso soup ( I thought that made a great breakfast), and many different Juices and cereals. A very nice pool and lounging area, Hula dancer and Hawaiian guitar. Fabulous dinning and drinking up above the strip overlooking the water.

“Would recommend to others”

Best Starwood Hotel we've stayed in. We normally do not vacation via Resort Hotels since we like to stay amongst the locals. We had two beautiful luxurious days and two nights at the Westin. Employees were extremely helpful and responsive. When our room card wouldn't work and an employee saw we were having problems he insisted on having us wait while he went and corrected the error. We never ate at the hotel as we thought the meals were very overpriced. We were disappointed with the meals at the port as the food was marginal in comparison to the local indian fare we ate while visiting Savusavu. Quite frankly we liked the meals we picked up at the supermarket at the port the best and the coffee shop just outside of the Sheraton. We wish would have tried out the spa services - they looked fabulous. We would recommend this hotel to others as we agreed the beds were heavenly.
