Disappointed

Posted Feb 17, 2015 on Hotels
Not happy. We had three little children that cried all the time in the room next to us.The lady at the reception couldn't understand why the children were unhappy. The rooms were very hot. There was other rooms available away from the family . The aircon leaked on us all night. There wasn't a apology. Food wasn't the best too.

Great place in "mainland" Fiji

Posted Jan 5, 2015 on Hotels
Can't think of a better place in mainland Fiji (Viti Levu). This is in Rakiraki, which is 2.5-3 hours from Nadi airport. Nice calm beach, with the option to sail off to nearby islands and do snorkeling. Great breakfast. Overall good experience, though if you're coming all the way to Fiji you might want to be in a more classic island resort. Oh, and we did the mistake of renting a car ourselves -- don't. The roads in Fiji are difficult. Just call the hotel to arrange a transfer from Nadi.

Beachside location has a lovely outlook, Swimming at the beach not suitable at low tide. Hotel photos don't reflect what you see.

Pros: Felt like our own private paradise, away from all of the really heavy/large tourist resorts. Wananavau was much better than Outrigger!!
Cons: No TV in the room for hubby. But it made us relax more and enjoy each others' company without technology! Ended up more romantic.
Location: Perfect, Away from it all, Outstanding
Value: Fantastic, Amazing, A steal; Service: Remarkable, Outstanding; Cleanliness: Beautiful; Loved the staff! And happy hour for cocktails on the beautiful deck of the restaurant, overlooking the water. Coming back next year with the kids!
