"Comfy, central & complimentary buffet breakfast!!"
The location is great -- in Clarke Quay area, very close to Metro, Chinatown, attractions, etc.
We paid more for a room with window, overlooking the street. The noise level was acceptable. The room was on the small side, but clean and comfy, with luggage rack, and separate desk and vanity.
The bathroom was good-sized, with a wonderful rainforest shower head. The towels, like the bedsheets, have seen better days, but soft and comfy. The bed is a bit too hard for my tastes, though.
Buffet breakfast is complimentary, and includes: usual hot breakfast items like pancakes, scrambled eggs, baked beans, etc., as well as noodles & veggies; can also order fried eggs -- sunnyside up, or plain omelette. There are also hardboiled eggs & fruits. There are several kinds of bread and cakes, as well as an assortment of cereals,, jams and drinks, in addition to coffee and tea. All in all, a good variety and you would have to be quite a picky eater to leave there still hungry!
What I liked most about the hotel is its rooftop, with a bird's eye view of the heritage buildings around it, as well as a panoramic view of all the modern and iconic landmarks surrounding it. It was nice and quiet -- never saw anyone when I was there -- a great place to meditate or check email while hubby was sleeping off his jetlag after our 32-hour flights!
