Despite the negative reviews, my daughter and I stayed there for one night. When we got there, we found out that in February, 2013, a new owner had purchased it and is working hard to turn it around. Not a lot of amenities (yes on Wifi, yes on coffee maker, yes on cable TV, no microwave, basic breakfast) but it was clean and the owner very friendly. For the $50 additional dollars which we would have spent at the only other hotel in the area, we had a nice dinner in Bluffton and went to a movie (with popcorn and soda!). It is now called the "Fairway Inn." For the money, I would definitely recommend it. I would also call to see if the owner has added any amenities, as this probably changes weekly with the work he is doing on it.
Certainly the price was right. Nothing was the best but everything was adequate or better. We were pleasantly surprised to find both a refrigerator and microwave in the room and they were both somewhat new and in good, clean working order.. The television and air conditioner were both fine, the bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom and the shower worked well. We were surprised there was no coffee pot maker in the room but there is an on site coffee shop open for breakfast and lunch just steps away.
The management seemed sincere in seeing that we were comfortable and had everthing we needed. There was some train noise but where isn't there in Fostoria...and it was not bad; actually it was kind of nice.

I have stayed here before and if there are other occasions I would again. It is located near the historic
courthouse and a street nearby has a mix of the old brick architecture and new architecture. The location
of the Findlay Inn is on the street that takes you off the freeway and into town. It is an attractive building
with a welcoming lobby and a very nice staff. The dining room and the bar area are small enough to provide
a cozy intimate atmosphere. The dinner special I chose was delicious....
My room was very comfortable and included a big cushy chair for TV or better still for time with a book!
