“Fantastic Stay!”

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The front desk staff was wonderful and recommended a fantastic eatery for dinner (Zee's on the Lake - just a short drive!). We were in the area for a show at the Chautauqua Institute and it was an easy drive.

“Great Hotel”

We have not stayed in a Holiday Inn Express that wasn't good, but this one was really good. The rooms were very spacious and clean.

We ate dinner on Lake Erie at the Crazy Parrot, it was great. Lots of variety on the menu and the deck overlooks the lake.

“Nice place to stay”

Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was very good. Bathroom was very clean; maid service during stay could have been better. The only complaint : our room was on the second floor directly above the main entrance and we were awakened and kept awake early in the morning by noisy children/families and later by loud patrons entering at midnight.

Not far from Chautauqua Institute and Chautauqua Lake. Several museums within a reasonable distance.

“We'd stay again”

Just minor problems: an air cleaning machine left in the room when we arrived. The front desk says we reserved a smoking room and there wasn't anything else available. I'm not sure that's true, since I heard her taking phone reservations later. And I didn't know how to check my Expedia request to see if indeed I'd make a mistake in choosing a smoking room. Nevertheless, we were comfortable for one night. The bike in the exercise room wasn't working, and when I inquired I was told to just pedal faster, it would "kick in." We both pedalled furiously--but of course, it was out of order. I'd have appreciated a "thanks--we'll fix it" instead of a spurious runaround! Breakfast was quite good with many choices. We'll stay again next year.

“Great stay”

This is a great hotel. It was very clean, renovated, friendly staff, very comfy beds, spacious rooms, excellent bathroom. We stayed there for one night and loved it. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. The only disadvantage is that there's nothing around the hotel in terms of things to do or restaurants but that's why it's very quiet and you can have a good night sleep without any noise.

“Quiet and close to the high way”

Hotel is conveniently close to the road I-87 (the old Route 17). The clerk was very friendly. The morning breakfast choices were great. Maria, the elderly lady who works in the breakfast area was extremely informative on local events. Do eat your dinner before you get near this inn. There are no close by restaurants. The Z was pretty decent but that was about two miles south into town.

Area recommendations

Drive to Findley Lake, a nice diner, a water powered mill and a country store. There is not much to do except to ski in the winter or water ski in the summer.

“Great Place to Stay!”

This has to be one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in in a long time! Easy to get too, very clean, pleasant employees & our room was fabulous!! Very close to Peak n Peek & Findlay Lake. We will stay here again!!

Close to Peak n Peek Ski Resort, a short drive to Erie, PA or Buffalo.

“"Would stay there again"”

Associates were nice and helpful. Was able to check us in an hour early. Hotel easy to find and accessible to the freeway.

Lake Chautauqua, and Jamestown; don't forget about the Winery trail, enjoyed it!
