Good bed clean rooms. The jug of milk given when you check in is a really nice gesture

Close to town centrePosted Feb 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was very good, clean and well maintained. Service was good. The hotel is few minutes' walk from the town center, so very conveniently placed. Booking for tours was made well in advance on request.

A great option - lots of conveniences!Posted Jan 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
After being given a very warm welcome by the woman at reception, we were pleasantly surprised to see that our rooms had not just the refrigerators that were promised, but small kitchenette, which enabled us to put together some meals and spend less money eating out. The little sofa and coffee table in each room were another unexpected bonus, along with the DVD players and selection of free DVDs. The location was a short walk to the town center and lake shore. The only thing I noticed that was unfavorable was some spots of what looked like mildew stains in the bathroom - not where we would come into contact with it, but in some corners (something I happen to be rather picky about). But it was a very good value, and we'd be happy to stay here again.

Good base for Milford Sound toursPosted Jan 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
A busy time of year so the owners were a bit flustered with various things when we arrived! Overall, a good stay though with comfortable rooms. Also used the communal bbq area one night which was in good condition but seemed set on a high temperature. Highly recommend 'Mitre Peak Cruises' if you go to Milford Sound - a smaller boat but gets up closer to things and goes further!

Convenient location but very very basic roomsPosted Apr 8, 2012
Pros: Good location
Cons: Too outdated and basic
Very basic rooms with shared kitchen. Everything in the room seems outdated. Beds are very soft. One small LCD TV in the main bedroom. No tissues at all.

Staying in Te AnauPosted Mar 14, 2012
Pros: Staff, facilities and quiet neighbours.
Cons: The shower with only a curtain. It was cold in the morning
Location: Quiet and easy to locate.
We found this motel through Expedia. It was comfortable, had all the facilities required for our stay and the staff were very helpful. We were able to walk quickly to the lake and on to the town. We would certainly stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to NZ.

We stayed at Parklands Motel for three nights. It was very conveniently situated for Te Anau. There was plenty of space and the rooms were very clean. Nice view from our balcony. Slightly old fashioned in decor but very acceptable.

Excellent and friendly accommodationPosted Feb 17, 2012 on Hotels.com
Stayed two nights before and two nights after doing the Kepler Track. Owners could not have been more friendly and helpful and provided safe parking during our period on the walk. The accommodation appears to have been recently refurbished and is of a high standard, very clean and quiet and is within easy walking distance of the centre of Te Anau.
