Clean basic roadside motel

Posted Mar 21, 2015
Location: Next to Apricot fields, a gas station, a restaurant and a McDonalds.
The rooms are large and clean but very basic but exactly what you would expect from a freeway side motel. The rooms are all facing the carpark which is convenient but a little noisy in the morning as everyone leaves.

Overnight stay

Posted Mar 8, 2015
First of all, this isn't a vacation resort. We needed somewhere to stay overnight near Mendota while attending a wedding. Mendota is a small farming community in the middle of nowhere and the only motel in town is a dive so we opted to travel the 20 minutes or so back out to the I5. We found the staff to be very friendly. The room was clean, everything worked, the shower didn't clog and become a pond. I have to admit that my expectations were not high but was pleasantly surprised. The bed was a bit hard but I was able to sleep. The next morning we went down and enjoyed the free buffet style continental breakfast which was more than adequate. Although I didn't swim, the pool area looked nice and clean and well kept. Overall, it was just fine for an overnight stay whether alone or with family.

Friendly staff. Nice continental breakfast, served early, so you can get on the road early.

Great bargain

Posted Jun 21, 2014
Pros: It was a perfect location and a great value.
Cons: It would have been nice if there had been a larger dining area, so we could have taken advantage of the breakfast.
Location: We were just traveling through on our way to Southern California.
We often travel from Northern California to Southern California on the Interstate 5. It is such a long drive that we decided to break the trip up and stay at the Apricot Tree. The room was very clean and had a comfortable bed. We would have loved to try out the free breakfast, but the dining room was so small that there were no tables for us to sit at. I guess we should have gone down to breakfast earlier!

Great stopover on the 5

Posted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Easy off, easy on and gas fillup all on one exit.
Location: There are several fast food and one full restaurants at this exit as well as a full gas station with convenience store.
We needed to stay halfway between Sacramento and Orange County. Late in the evening this hotel was like an oasis. The staff was friendly, quick and efficient to provide our keys and direction to the room. The room was clean, comfortable and large. While we were told they don't ordinarily put pets in that room because of an adjoining room door, she allowed it for this evening (our pet is 15 years old and could get up the stairs of the hotel). We appreciated the accommodations for our dog as well.

We just needed a place to stay, and this hotel was fine. There was nothing special about it. It was just fine. It fit our needs.
