Our experience was overall very nice. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. The restaurant had great food. However, the hotel lost power during the second night of our stay. I called to inform the front desk and didn't receive much of an explanation. They also didn't refund me a portion of my bill as compensation for the inconvenience. But overall, the stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The staff was fantastic; great people, tasty free breakfast and 'social hour' in the Route-66-themed lounge was quirky but enjoyable. My initial impressions were not as glowing: this is a terraced, two-story motel built in two segments ascending a bluff overlooking Route 66, just east of downtown (be careful with lower ground clearance vehicles on the steep inclines and humped pavement) and in some apparent, graduated renovation process with large, modular storage units on the upper terrace making parking difficult. My initial reservation was for a Double Queen (described as an InnSuite), but it was quite possibly the most claustrophobia-inducing hotel room I have ever seen--not recommended for multiple guests (despite the two beds, if you can believe that). Conversely, the bathroom was spacious, modern and clean with a nice marble sink and a rainshower fixture in a generously-sized stand-up (two persons could fit comfortably, if so inclined). After speaking with the gentleman at the front desk, he offered a more appropriate solution in a connected suite (one room for the kid, connected room for the parents) with separate (and equally spacious) bathrooms for a very reasonable additional rate (at just a 10% increase above the inital room rate). Check-in, even with the room switch involved, was pleasant. The friendly staff should be commended for turning my decidedly weary disposition into a smile. I would certainly stay here again, but I would not book through Expedia.

the staff was awesome. they were very friendly. we checked in an hour early and the staff did not charge us early check in. I was really happy about that. The room and bathroom was really clean. The housekeeper did a great job. We did not have breakfast so I can't rate it. Overall I would rate it 4 stars and will stay there again.

Location near NAU was perfect! Great views of mountains. Would liked to have breakfast included however there's an IHOP and Denny's right down the street. Courtyard area and fire pit seating was a nice touch in the cool evening air. Would definitely stay again!
