“Great Little Get -A- Way”

The hotel was everything the reviews said it would be. We stayed in a standard room. I asked for a room with a view and the front desk was happy to provide it. We also checked in early. The staff was great. The pool and spa were very nice at the end of the day. It is the perfect place to stay in Williams if you plan to ride the train. A short walk and you can enjoy the shops on Route 66. The pub in the hotel was great.

“Great Staff”

I really appreciated the helpfulness of the staff. Questions that couldn't be answered were quickly looked up on the internet for us. Our room was really nice too, just up the stairs from the lobby. We didn't have any problems with the bedding as I had read on other reviews, the bottom sheets appeared to be flat not fitted sheets, and the beds were made military style with hospital corners. Anyway, I would go back for sure. We had a wonderful time.

“The bathroom seemed brand new!”

Wonderful hotel! Our room was perfect for our family of 4! We upgraded to a room with a frig. The bathroom seemed brand new! The small restaurant/pub was lovely and convenient - a nice alternative to the buffet across the street. The pool was on the small side and a bit crowded when we checked it out, but we were there during spring break.

“Relaxing getaway!”

Easy acces to town VERY friendly staff. Very basic room, but it was clean and had everything we needed. The only frustration was that the TV only had about 25 channels and neither the TV or the room had a channel or program guide, so it was hard to find movies or shows when we wanted to relax in the room.

“GRAND CANYON RAILWAY REVIEW”

Hotel was really nice and right next to railroad trip. There were several restaurants in the Route 66 strip that were really good especially. We took at trip to Seligman for all the Route 66 memorabilia and it was a waste of time. 2 blocks of old houses and several tourist trap stores. Really liked the Pine Country restaurant meals reasonable and good and you must try a piece of their pie!

“Nice and convenient”

The lobby was handsome and inviting. Our room was comfortable and clean. Nice surprize to find an iron and board in the closet. The in-room coffeemaker remained unused because there's always some fresh in the lobby. It would be great, though, to have a refridgerator and microwave in the room. Right across the street from the depot and a short walk to the center of town with it's abundance restaurants and gift shops on Route 66. It couldn't be more conveniently located.

“Excellent Location”

Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the train ride to the Grand Canyon was great fun, including being held up by mean cowboys! Very small town but full of interest. Breakfast and dinner at Max and Thelma's was excellent value, with very good service. Good location for visting this part of Arizona.

“Cute and Quaint, wait for completed rennovations before returning!”

The hotel is undergoing a rennovation and initially the room we were put in was right across the hall from their bar/restaurant, which caused concerns about noise. Upon entering the room, the window was covered up with a large sheet of plywood on the outside and there was no view. The hotel was full but they were able to find a handicap equiped room available that was not in use. (to be clear, we did not need handicap access it was the only room not booked). Overall, the staff was very friendly, welcoming, etc. I think once the rennovations are complete the condition/maintenance of the hotel issue will disappear.

“A well run hotel”

In all this was a pleasant, well run hotel. On our arrival we were informed that the computer system was down and had been for some considerable time. Despite this, the staff were helpful and pleasant in difficult circumstances and we were allocated rooms promptly. The lobby with its huge fireplace was a nice place to sit in the evenings. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably spacious. My children enjoyed using the pool and my husband the fitness room. The only criticism we had was the air conditioning unit which was rather noisy. Opening the window not a great option as the freight trains passed by, noisily at frequent intevals during the night-although this was not a problem with the window closed. All in all we would go back to this hotel and would recommend it especially if you want to take the scenic train ride to the Grand Canyon.
