“Bedbugs in Luxury Inn”
I booked Luxury Inn motel for 2 days, but we spend first night fighting with hotel's bedbugs. They were hiding under mattresses. I've brought killed bedbugs to hotel's office as an evidence. We had to cancel our vacation trip. I see more reports on this hotel at bedbugregistry site.
“spend a few more bucks....a dump”
the location is great to the downtown entertainment area, but everything else was terrible..no fan in bathroom, just a sign telling you to open window .which was held shut with a piece of wood.....go somewhere else,i felt dirty when leaving,we didnt even want to shower there........
“Get what you pay for.”
Just wanted a place to sleep for the night since just went up to stay for the night and play in the snow the next day. So this place worked great for that. If looking for comfort and amenities don't stay here. If looking for a place for the night and the price to do it then this will work.
“Grubby and noisy”
I booked and paid for two nights here through Expedia. One night was one night too many and we left the following morning and wrote off the cost of the second night. No coffee in room nor in reception. No breakfast. Pillowcases dirty. Towels old and threadbare. Towels and pillowcases were exchanged on request. Worst of all was the noise from the freight trains all night long. Sleep was impossible. Avoid at all costs. I recommend that Expedia removes this one from their list.
“I would return.”
The room was a perfect match for the price.I didn't want to pay for things I didn't want. Nothing fancy but well cleaned and maintained. The train bothered my husband but not me at all and I'm a fairly light sleeper. I was pleased.
“Good clean inexpencive room”
Check in was fast and the room was a basic style room. a TV, Desk a couple chares, Dresser and Bed. it was clean and had plenty of towels. This is not the Ritz but We don't live in motel rooms we go out and enjoy the area and only sleep and clean up in a room. The maid service was great they made up the room every day and put out clean towels. There are lots of places to eat close by and Flagstaff has an ordenance against the train blowing there horns so even though they are close to the train tracks it wasnt even noticable. worth the money. you can enjoy more things in town if you don't spend a lot on your room.
“Not bad for the money”
Not bad for short stay. The price was right. Stay away from the road as traffic and trains go by all hours of the night!
“Fair for the price you pay”
The Luxury Inn isn't a luxurious hotel. It's a motel with a hotel label, it's very simple , but clean and organized. The lady who received us in the check-in room was nice and polite, even gave us some breakfast recommendations as we requested. The shower is hot, the bed is hotel bed, you know the same bed and sheets in all hotels. And about the train noise, my friend and I were so exhausted from all the Grand Canyon activities that we didn't hear a pee. If you are a light sleeper don't book any hotel along the route 66, no matter how luxurious is your hotel, the train whistle won't stop just because you paid more. The experience was fine for me, I wanted a bed and a hot shower after all the fun and sporty activities in the Grand Canyon area. If you are looking for fancy hotels stay on the Grand Canyon Village and pay the extra bucks for it.
“Delivers the goods”
The Luxury Inn in Flagstaff is a great place to spend the night. It was a clean, no-frills place. There was a clean bed, towels and clean bathrooms. The hotel is close to places to eat and right on Route 66, about 2-3 miles from downtown. For the price, a great place to stay.
“Good for one night stay....”
This hotel was not bad, it was very plain, small tv. Not very cozy. The doors were regular keys, not the cards, which I thought was odd. It was fine for a one night stay but I probably would not stay for longer. Plus, there was a small window in the back of the room that had no curtain on it! When I looked out back there was a hill but I still thought it was kind of scary not having a curtain over the window. For the price though, it was super close to snowbowl and was quiet.
