“Comfortable, like a favorite pair of shoes”
While not a glamorous hotel it was a very comfortable and hospitable place to stay. It is small enough where the staff could be personable and the complimentary breakfast wasn't a grab fest. The lobby has large sofas and chairs where you can relax away from your room. A fun touch was found in the breakfast room where the walls are lined with Polaroid pictures of guests labeled with where they are from. The desk staff was very friendly and extremely helpful -- remembering our names, listing restaurants that were open on Christmas day, giving directions, and letting us store food in their refrigerator. They are knowledgeable about the region and could guide us in decisions about places beyond Flagstaff. Additionally, the general manager was very accommodating in dealing with a problem that arose. Our 3-day stay was quiet and stress-free. The 2-bed rooms are compact but efficient. The bedding was clean, with down comforters, new bedspreads, and a generous supply of pillows. All in all, it added up to a be an enjoyable stay and my family and I would definitely return.
