“Made that my main hotel!”
Great customer service, always friendly when you walk in, and always stay there every time I'm in town. I stay there because of the service, rooms, and of course one of the best price's
“I'll never go there again!”
Walls were paper thin. Neighbors kept me awake until 2:00am. The complimentary breakfast was not out. Hair dryer didn't work. I'll never go back!
“Not mpressed”
Pretty drab place.
“Clean room, nice indoor pool, open late.”
Good price to be near the Lowell observatory. Room clean although corridors and stairs need a good steaming. Pool nice, clean and big enough to swim in. Pool towels a little small, but late opening and evening hours made it a blessing after a long drive to Flagstaff.
“This hotel was not much better than sleeping in our car”
We had reservations for 2 nights but I cancelled the 2nd night right after check-in. There were very few redeeming features about this hotel. Some complaints we had included: strong chemical smell to room; tiny space; no electrical outlet by bed, so no place to plug in alarm clock; refrigerator was loud & smelled horrible; no hook to hang towels or clothes on in bathroom; water pressure weak; dirty dirty room! Room was generally scuffed & stained. We slept in our sleeping bags on top of the thin, scratchy comforter due to poor condition of sheets. There is no way we will stay there again & cannot recommend this dive to others.
“Overpriced by 50%”
If you need a place to lay your head ... it's ok. The bed itself was good enough. But this place is sad. They advertise as the only "indoor pool/spa" in Flagstaff. Hmm; does a giant shed count? Especially when the hot tub is hot; but no working jets? One high point?: The free/included continental breakfast had waffle makers... these were great. But I'm sorry I can' justify the price paid ... I've had much nicer stays at places that were a full 50% cheaper. Until some major overhaul takes places, I'd have to recommend steering clear of this hotel.
“not that super”
When we got the the clerk was outside smoking and walking her dog around (mind you this was a hotel that doesnt allow pets). Once she and the dog were done they came back in and checked my into the room. We were in an upstairs room which was clean (a plus) but the steps to get up there were the safest (especially with your hands full). We went to use the pool (which was supposed to be heated) but it was extremely cold (an outdoor pool would have been warmer at this point) and had lots and lots of salt in it. The main reason we chose this hotel was because it was a family trip and it said "heated indoor pool" and it didnt live up to our expectations.
“Good enough for the price paid”
The Super 8 affiliation gives a little piece of mind in the sometimes scary budget hotel range. Very nice staff. Breakfast kind of an afterthought, don't expect much. For the off-season rate paid while touring national parks, it worked out just fine for me. It beat the heck out of tent camping with the temps. getting below 20 degrees at night! The Super 8 on the other side of town was a bit nicer and surprisingly quiet given the proximity to the railroad tracks. All in all both places were a good value given the cheap rates. While I had no problems here, the biggest risk with budget hotels in general can be the quality of your neighbors. Luckily the hotel was so empty I had no neighbors above or on either side!
“PROBLEM”
KEPT HAVING TO HAVE KEY RENEWED. OTHERWISE OK.
