Flatiron District Vacations
Many of New York’s key attractions are located close to Flatiron District, so it is a convenient place to base yourself. Two destinations that should be on every visitor’s itinerary is the fabulous Broadway and the much-loved Minskoff Theater. Two other recommended attractions you’ll find nearby Flatiron District are NBC Studios and Rockefeller Center.
People come from near and far to experience the Statue of Liberty, one of the best-loved landmarks in the country. It is only 3 miles (5 kilometers) from the middle on the city.
Spend some time in the central part of New York. Enjoy the Empire State Building and Times Square. If you have time to spare, why not stop by the Chrysler Building and the Grand Central Terminal before heading back to Flatiron District.
Those interested in exhibits and shows will find some interesting cultural highlights in and around Flatiron District. Visit some of the noteworthy exhibit spaces and museums including New Museum, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. To catch home-grown and touring acts, spend an evening at the Radio City Music Hall, Roseland Ballroom and the Ed Sullivan Theater, one of the region’s best-loved performing arts venues. Popular art galleries, include the American Folk Art Museum, the Chelsea Art Museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
If the weather is good get outdoors and make the most of the nearby green spaces. There are no shortage of green escapes, so take a picnic blanket to Bryant Park, the Washington Square Park and the Madison Square Park.
Get familiar with the local fashion and spoil yourself with a new wardrobe at popular nearby shopping hotspots such as Macy's, the Tiffany & Co. and Manhattan Mall.
