"A Unique Hotel that I would stay at again and again..."
Pulling up to the hotel, you first notice the uniqueness and beauty of the hotel. The staff was extremely accomodating. We arrived around 11 in the morning, and the representative walked us up to our room (there is no elevator). The room wasn't ready, but we were able to store our luggage and she quickly had the cleaning staff clean up the room. The room was awesome with a comfy bed, excellent decor (exposed logs from the original lodge), and a nice bathroom. The Lodge was also equipped with free wireless Internet. The restaurant, although a little pricy, was delicious with great service (and popular with the locals). My husband and I visited eight countries and stayed in 11 hotels on this trip and the Heverlee Lodge was always on the top of our list.

We had a wonderful stay for 4 nights over new year. Park7 is a stunning B&B set in a very peaceful location. It's perfect for visiting Brussels or to use as a base to explore Belgium. The owners were very friendly and helpful, perfect hosts. The room we had (no1) was well designed and had a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was spotless and had the choice of either a bath or shower. The kitchenette was very useful and well appointed. There was a lovely view of the lake from our window. The breakfast was amazing. The local town has a great bakery and plenty of choices for places to eat. It's a very handy place to stay as it's only a short 15min drive from the center of Brussels and it's also only 10mins from the E40.
All in all we could not rate Park7 high enough. It looked wonderful online when we decided to book it and we were not disappointed in any way. We look forward to staying here again and left with some great memories.

The hotel is a few yards from the station and the old town, so is convenient for seeing central Leuven. We arrived by car and had not been told that there would be a hefty charge for parking in the underground public car park. There is no hotel concession, and nowhere to unload bags at the hotel. Our room was on the second floor with no lift, but hotel staff did help with the bags on arrival and departure. The hotel facilities are non-existent and the stairs to the rooms very steep with stained carpet. However, to make up for this, the room was newly refurbished with contemporary fittings and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and the whole room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast included was the biggest surprise - self service but with a large variety of items to choose from, and all fresh and tasty. The service was very attentive. The hotel is over a restaurant on the station square so well placed for snacks and meals if you don't want to go far. It was quite noisy at night but you expect that for such a central location. So although we had to pay for parking, the generous breakfast made up for this irritation, and the room was excellent. I would recommend the hotel for a short stay and a convenient place for exploring Leuven by foot.

My party of four travelled to Belgium from Aberdeen and stayed in two rooms at the Boardhouse in Leuven as our base for the 2014 Rock Werchter festival.
The hotel location is in a pleasant suburb called Heverlee, which has numerous shops, cafes and pubs close by and is a five minute walk from its own railway platform, just one stop away from Leuven Central. There are also frequent buses into the town centre, which is alternatively a 30 minute walk through suburban Heverlee and the lovely university quarters into the splendid centre.
We got back to Leuven most nights from the festival around midnight and either took taxis back to the residence or walked through the streets which were always quite busy and felt very safe.
The lodgings themselves (which are more centrally located in Heverlee, five minutes’ walk from the hotel reception & main building) were a delight to get back to, especially on the days that were rainy. Our rooms were spacious and clean, and although we didn’t use the cooking facilities in the rooms, I did use the free washing machine and dryer in the basement – very convenient once the festival site became muddy.
The hotel management and staff were really welcoming, friendly and helpful, and our entire experience in Leuven was really pleasant. The Festival was a huge success, and having the Boardhouse and Heverlee as our home from home really added to the whole experience.

Hotel was basic and comfortable, however they seem to get a lot of workers who stay for the week as well as business men. These people are up at 6;30 and are noisy so tend to wake you up.
Maid service was basic ie bed not atually made just a quick flip of the duvet and a quick clean in bathroom.Lighting very dim and there was a step once you opened the door to get in. TV channels hopeless no english so for the holiday maker not very conducive.
