Comfortable and central in LeuvenPosted Jan 29, 2014
Pros: Location, quiet, comfort.
Cons: Shower leaked a bit.
Location: Hotel is just a few minutes from the lovely main square. Also close by, the fascinating “Beguinage” area, a UNESCO world heritage site.
I booked a single room, and had a nice ‘attic’ space. Very cosy, comfortable bed, and quiet in the evening. Staff accommodated an early check-in.

Wonderful place to stay.Posted Aug 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located within easy walking distance of old town Leuven and is situated in an old cloister. The rooms are large and well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom is huge by European standards and has a soaker tub and separate walk-in rain shower. There are many good restaurants nearby and lots of shopping. The only disappointments were the 25 euro charge per day for secure underground parking, the 20 euro charge per person for a limited breakfast (eggs, ham, etc. cost extra) and the coolness of the reception staff. We paid for the parking because there is very little on street parking and we'd probably ending up putting the same or more into the meters. We skipped the breakfast and walked up the street to Le Pain which is an organic bakery/restaurant with the best scrambled eggs in Europe. We would definitely return to Martin's Klooster.

excellent accommodationPosted Apr 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Except for the cost of breakfast – 20 euros – everything about Martin's Klooster was superb. I greatly appreciated the lovely bar with snacks – pizzas, a small sandwich or lasagne. Staff were helpful and professional. It would be my choice for a return visit. RE breakfasts – don't be put off by that cost as there are many excellent options within a few minutes walk.

a place to stay with a wonderful evening stroll.Posted Apr 14, 2013
Pros: I enjoyed sitting in the cozy bar working on my laptop near the fire.
Cons: my room was situated a long way down the hall and required a bit of a walk once off the elevator which was a minor inconvenience.
I love staying in a hotel that is situated on a quiet street and still a few blocks stroll from activity. there is something amazing about walking down cobblestone streets on the way back to the hotel in isolation that extends the enjoyment of the evening. wonderful staff, great breakfast, and a cozy bar. The building itself is wonderful and adds to the experience.

Great place to stay in LeuvenPosted Apr 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
We liked Martin's Klooster quite a bit. It's very modern and clean with proximity to the beautiful medieval section of Leuven. The room could have been just slightly more comfortable--that's the main reason for a "4" instead of a "5." If there were a 4.5, that'd be just right. So, if you're going to Leuven, I'd say this is a "definite recommendation."

Great hotel! Perfect location!Posted Jan 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is very interesting with modern furniture, cute bar and reception. The location is perfect, right near the downtown, university, shopping and restaurants. The receptionists were all very helpful. Two things to note is that room space could vary significantly. I had a very large room to accommodate an extra bed for my son. My sister and her husband had a very small room. Yet, all furniture was new and modern. Another thing to keep in mind is that the hotel entrance is difficult to find if you drive. Narrow, one way street leading to one of the entrances. Easy to miss so my husband spent about 30 min driving in circles. If you walk it is in very pleasant location.
