Relaxing even on Memorial Day weekend.

Posted May 26, 2015
We went here when I was 37 weeks pregnant for a Memorial Day getaway. We wanted to relax and didn't care about gambling. We could hike and go to the beach and go to dinner etc even on what should be an overly busy weekend. The casino didn't take away of how gorgeous this place is, and we even discussed returning as a family weekend getaway. There were many family friendly things to do like water sports and swimming and hiking and the pool etc. the lake was very peaceful and there were many secluded places to walk to. They even have a golf course for those interested in that. We also got entrance to the state park for free, which was a nice surprise. We highly recommend this resort for a short weekend getaway.

The hotel is nice, but old. They could redo the carpets. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious. Nice tv and comfortable bedding. The staff at night are not knowledgable; they could not direct us to the outdoor are. The crowd is a little dicey, but this was Memorial Day weekend.

Nice resort but not worth the money.

Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Plenty of things to do.
Cons: Restaurant food and wait staff
Location: Nothing near by but there is a lake, walking trails, casino, boat rentals, bike rentals.
This resort always looked like a nice place to getaway. It does offer amazing views and plenty of things to do however their restaurants lack good wait staff and the food is not very good. The golf course has specific rules they don't enforce. Room service takes forever to show up. I would stay here again but only if the prices were much cheaper.

Lovely location, too oriented to casino.

Pros: Staff at spa were excellent. Had great massage. Restaurants were good.
Cons: Stop the incessant 80s hard rock going on outside. I like that music, but it's noise pollution at 8 am in the morning when you're trying to sleep in.
Great location, good spa but the 80s hard rock pouring out of the outside loudspeakers for the casino detracts as do other compromises made for the casino. Wouldn't call this family friendly. Also, a little pricey if you're not a casino person.
