“Rocky Gap wonderful getaway”

Rocky Gap Resort is great, the surrounding area is wonderful. Staff and accommodations are top notch. Definitely will return.

“Could be great”

Rocky Gap is a beautiful place and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Only ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was very good. If you go call first and find out who else is staying there. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights and both nights they had groups (church and swim meet) with hundreds of kids running up and down the halls at 10:30PM. We could not use the pool or lounge because it was filled with screaming kids. We left on Saturday and took a 2 hour drive to Canann valley and returned at night. They call this a romantic getaway. Good luck with all those kids. They did apologise when I mentioned it at check out.

“Good hotel”

Disappointed to find hair in the tub. Good hotel in a good location otherwise. Definitely need a car for any sort of extended visit.

“Won't go back did not feel welcome by hotel staff.Our bill was wrong along with other guests.”

The room was nice,but the grille was closed for a private party.We had to drive to Cumberland Maryland to eat.The town is a little depressed and small.There were guests drinking beer in the hot tub and were very loud.

“Rocky Gap, a shambles”

We had asked for a king bed and did not get it. The shower stall is so narrow, you bang your elbows on the sides. The carpets in the corridors on the first floor are dirty and tattered, and the service in the restaurant is atrociously slow, incompetent, and the food is cold, and they add on items to your bill that were not even served. It seems the hotel is being sold to a group who will re-model and place a casino there. So I guess there will be no improvements till then,
