Flogita is located some 160 miles (257 kilometers) from Athens, the national capital.
From much-loved, tourist hotspots to lesser known nooks and crannies, Greek Mainland is dotted with sights and attractions. Thermaikos, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the southeast, and Metamorfosi, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the west of Flogita are worth a visit too.
Around 18 miles (29 kilometers) to the southeast of Flogita is Kassandra, a regional center where you can visit Pefkochori Lagoon, Xenia Beach and Chaniotis Beach. Kalithea Beach and Pefkochori Pier are also good spots for calling into before returning to Flogita.
Should the weather turns nasty; fear not, Greek Mainland offers a number of popularaters, history museums and art museums, guaranteed to keep culture vultures entertained and dry. One of the most popular ways to get to know a spot is by getting an understanding of its history. While here, be sure to tour the area's historic fortresses.
