“After work rendezvous.”

The room I was in was a little cramped for two people but for the price and the location it's worth it.

“New hotel, but definitely still a budget hotel”

Pros: friendly staff, the building and all the furniture is new so it's still in pretty good condition. Cons: thin walls (NOT at all soundproof - could hear the neighbors' tvs at night and another neighbor talking on the phone for an hour in the morning), terrible thermostat (it would get so hot that I'd be sweating before the AC would go on, and then it would stay on long beyond necessary so I was then freezing), loud heat/AC unit (it woke me up all night every time it went on). If you can sleep though anything, then this hotel would be fine for you. The room was also tiny, but that was what I expected for a hotel in NYC. (Yes, the hotel is actually in Queens, a borough of New York City. But if you're planning on visiting NYC (as in Manhattan) for your trip, I'd definitely recommend staying somewhere closer.) The parking lot was also small. By the time we came home both nights (which admittedly was late - after a concert at Jones Beach), not only was the lot full, but so was every parking spot on the block! We had to park a block away. It was a residential neighborhood and probably safe, but as a woman, I wouldn't have felt comfortable if I was alone.

“Amenities of hotel”

This hotel was a new hotel. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable, but small. (Good for business not for a family.) The parking lot was small and would not accomodate large vehicles. I slept in until 8 pm and there was slim pickings at the free breakfast. The location was great. The LIRR station is a 5-10 walk away.

“Great hotel!”

great hotel especially in time of hurricane--definitely recommend! No power elsewhere but the hotel had a generator and was well prepared for the storm!
